Hythe?
Hythe is getting us back in the right direction This place reminds me of the song by Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong
If it's not Hythe/Dymchurch way (grew up in Kent, seem to recall a big beach down there), then I'm struggling, as once you get round to the north-east point resorts (Ramsgate to Margate), there aren't any of those pillars running down to the sea.
The only other beach is that one just round from Dungeness - forget the name.

Finally!
My goodness, you lot can get the most obscure places from the most nondescript photos but SE English coastline does not seem to be as strong
Surprised no one got the "Gone Fishin''" clue
