I read a suggestion somewhere that they’d already printed the brochures advertising free parking for the UK hence not changing it yet for us.
Interesting - I hadn't heard that before but it makes sense. Disney is taking every opportunity to gouge (sorry, increase average revenue per visitor) people so it was surprising they postponed the charges for UK vsisitors. Despite what some people think, Brits only make up only around 2% of WDW visitors, so I guess it's not a big deal.

Space Center!
Disney crazy golf is good fun and free with your Disney passes.
We enjoyed Bahama Breeze, Longhorn Steak House and Joe's Crab Shack.
Discovery Cove is expensive but good.
Universal and Islands of Adventure are very good - note they are separate parks even though they are on the same site.
We went for an air boat ride but I can't remember where!
Publix supermarkets seem smarter than the others. Every liquor store feels like a heist is about to happen. Most filling stations are pre-pay at the shop.

Just noticed you also mentioned getting the boat. Pretty sure that only takes you to Disney Springs.

If you are heading to a park, it's bus or car.
There are boats from some of the resorts to some of the parks. You can make your way from a resort to the transportation centre then get the monorail to MK or Epcot but it will take ages.
That is true yes.

I wasn't very specific but I meant the boat from Port Orleans doesn't go to any of the parks.

If the weather is bad, wonderworks on Idrive is great for the family. A good way to burn 3 to 4 hours.

Wild Florida is a great day out, try an airboat ride and, or swamp tour in a monster truck plus get to see loads of wildlife.

Day trip to Clearwater and a trip out on the Seascreamer or Little Toot.

Space centre.

For wasting a couple of hours, a visit to Celebration for some ice cream from Kilwins, is great.
