Will be standard St Anton trip in March for the 23rd season on the bounce and thinking of going back to Kitzbuhel in Jan as we've not been for 8 years or so. Wouldn't mind seeing Cervinia either .. only seen it when I stayed in Zermatt about 12 years ago
Would you consider the Pyrenees?Welshbeef said:

Could you recommend anywhere? We tend to stay away from French resorts ... haven't been to France since Courchevel in 1999. I always felt that the quality of infrastructure and cleanliness of accommodation was lacking when compared to Austrian, Western Swiss and Northern Italian places.

For a change of culture and scenery, I can recommend Baqueira on the Spanish side. I learned to ski there 30+ years ago, and there are some pretty good offpiste zones opened up since then. It's pretty big for a single resort, although whether you get bored will depend on how good you are. We tend to stay away from French resorts ... haven't been to France since Courchevel in 1999. I'll take a look thanks. We usually cover quite a lot of ground but as I'm with my Mrs, even though she likes to ski first to last lift, she's not an experienced off piste skier, where as I board and live for powder days.Andorra again for the season - El Tarter - my wife stays there and I travel every weekend and stay the occasional full week.
The conditions are pretty decent & it's affordable enough to be there for the whole season, drinking & eating out on a regular basis.
I'd prefer to be closer to an airport, but not the end of the world.

We'll be spending Christmas, New Year and most weekends in February and March in Kitzbuhel. Plus 1-2 weeks in February, the second week dependent on my boss letting me work from home in Austria
This year I managed to ski for 310km in total.....the child was somewhere near 450km as he had a week there without us in the Rennschule.
Reason being is my wife grew up in the area so we decided to lease an apartment there. We actually do plenty of weekends there as it's just a 4 hour drive.

We are off to Slovakia in February for a week. Booked EJ flights to Vienna and got a car to take us up to SKI PARK Kubínska hoľa. We are staying with friends in their log cabin which is a 10 minute drive from the main runs. Not been since we had kids which is about 8 years now so really not sure how things are going to go We will be putting the rugrats into the Ski School (GIrl 7 & Boy 4) so I think they will enjoy that!

4 weeks in Tignes starting 14th Dec.
And I am in the process of being made redundant, I can see alot more time being spent there this winter!
Age dependant I’d be wanting to use that tone to secure the next role instead of a jolly - or your near retirement in which case early retirement. And I am in the process of being made redundant, I can see alot more time being spent there this winter!

I’ve thought i’m going to be made redundant end of 2016/17/18, but keep being asked to do projects, I’ll get a season yet surely! (2019’s not finished yet!)And I am in the process of being made redundant, I can see alot more time being spent there this winter!

Just starting to train for the ski season and now as push bikes are out of action on the roads due to wet windy/winter conditions the exercise bike is coming out tomorrow.
Question is how much training on that is needed every day or during each week from now start of Oct onwards to ensure I’ve enough get go to ski all day without the muscles going all right and making progress on the snow challenging OR if loads of powder enough strength to ski through it over and over
