This thread definitely needs more pictures.
With a pair of floating seats, the SUP made a great bar to watch the world go by.....
And 22 Fathom Cove
Aka Dib Dib bay. Came here last year with the lads and had a great surreal night- the original ow er from over the other side in Wall Bay
Sadly - it was dead and not at all the same this year with the GF
Our Adriatic chartering holidays are done for a while I think. It's getting too expensive and way too busy sailing in Croatia now and the broker we've used for years is most definitely not on my Christmas card list anymore.
Have some maybe thoughts for sailing from Suffolk to the Dorset coast this summer or perhaps doing a channel crossing to the north French coast. Not trips I fancy on my own so will have to wait to see who's free to come along otherwise it'll be the usual two or three day trips out with family and friends in the Thames estuary somewhere when the weather is playing reasonably nicely.

I think I am pencilled in to help a pal out again bring his Sunfast 41 back from Brittany to the Hamble late July.
I have an eye on a dash to the Med with the boys or the missus once feasible.
IMHO I think Bozza will keep the mass holidays / package holiday throng at bay this year, but those looking to book travel independently and book tests etc, may be allowed.
Could be wrong of course.

Bliss
And this boat (second time chartered) is Puuuuurfect for a couple
She’s steady, sails on her own without autopilot happily, Gennie and air in to drop the temp, big full width stern cabin and bed
I'm off to the Ionian on Sunday for a 2 week jaunt on a Bav 51! Can't wait.
Great time and a warm reception for the boarding and then straight out to the numerous islands in circuit. I did find the first few days 'wind schedule' a little frustrating - nothing until 12:30 / 1pm, but we adjusted our plans to suit.
I thought the prices eating out to be reasonable, and naturally found that the place was busier than Turkey has been of late - I'd hate to see how busy the quaysides would be in a non COVID year.
Suited us (myself and GF) just fine as every night except for the first we were on the hook with long lines ashore, or simply swinging on the hook - we preferred this for privacy and for the idea we would have a cooling breeze.
The dinghy was too big for the foredeck so dragged it around anyway - so may as well use for going ashore.
As for the cooling breeze - well, not so likely by the end of the week with on land temperatures nudging 36 / 37 degrees.
We were lucky compared to most I guess - two of us only on a twin cabin 41ft boat, versus the families of 5 or 6 in an older 36ft Bav.
A great week of sailing and great amusement watching the opposition parking up every evening.
Obligatory photos to follow.
Now...... when and where next
Just coming to the end of a two week sail in the Ionian aboard a Bavaria 45.
Travel out with Easy Jet from Bristol was brilliant. Very easy, no queues or delays and a half full A320.
Arrival at Preveza was equally as easy, with no queues. Very few people being random tested it would appear.
Sailing has been great. Good winds most days, great food, good company and spectacular scenery.
Heading home tomorrow. Did our LF tests at a local clinic yesterday for euros 30 with results and certificates within 5 mins. Uk PLF done and submitted.
All in all it has been hassle free, a brilliant holiday and dare I say it, the best flight experience in a long time.
