If you're doing hopscotch asking the outer hebredies, you need to allow some flexibility in your schedule. They get big winds out there, especially as we approach autumn, and the ferries do get disrupted by weather.

Gourock to Dunoon is foot passenger only. To take a car you need to use the Western Ferries “tea tray” that runs between Hunter’s Quay and McInroy’s Point.Edited by Davel on Wednesday 14th August 18:58
