I’m going on the 6th of Dec - what markets can you recommend please?
I’ll be near Alexanderplatz
Went last year you will have a great time!I’ll be near Alexanderplatz
My thread here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Highlights of the above -
Hofbräuhaus München Berlin - was a laugh, steins and traditional food! Near Alex platz
Monkey Bar - near the zoo, nice drinks good atmosphere.
Good market at the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church and my fave at the Gendarmenmarkt, those two are a must IMO

Would you have any suggestion for a restaurant with a decent bar that stays open late?
Trying to organise something for a group of 20 where we can have dinner (on Sat) and stick around for a few drinks afterwards
There are far better people to ask, maybe PM the guy who lives in berlin that was on the thread I sent.Trying to organise something for a group of 20 where we can have dinner (on Sat) and stick around for a few drinks afterwards
Lemke am Alex had a few beers here, they do food and social drinking for larger groups! Great beer and right near where you are staying!
We went here one night - Madami - Mom's vietnamese kitchen cash only but decent food.
Back yesterday from 4 days in Berlin, it’s still fantastic, even farmers protest was great on Tuesday, never seen so many huge tractors.
We stayed this time at the Hotel Pallas pretty much next to KW church, wife finally decided she was trying currywurst, loved it so much she had it for our anniversary dinner on Wednesday

The only problem being that Bratislava is absolutely tiny. I am not sure what you would do there for 5 days.
I was there a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely but 2 to 3 days max and you've seen everything. A bit more leftfield but how about Luebeck? It's a lovely historic place, not many tourists and they have a nice Christmas market on. Very family friendly place. If you like Marzipan and mulled wine you can't go wrong. It's small so I'd maybe do a day or 2 there and a couple of days in Hamburg (an hour away) then you can fly directly from Hamburg airport.
