flew stansted this weekend although no hotel.
There’s a new multi-storey car park - green car park, which is pretty much all under cover to the terminal so you avoid getting soaked walking from the other short stays. Think it was also the cheapest.
Security with two kids of equal age was brilliant. Staff were very helpful.
This is the carpark I've booked, 8 nights cost £63. It's the opposite side of the terminal to the hotel but I figured I'd hopefully be able to drop the wife and kids off at the hotel and go and park up. I don't mind a bit of a walk, should then be nice and close when we arrive back. Hopefully.

Not looking forward to it, but there you go, got to do these things for the kids I suppose.

I have just flown via Stansted this week for the first time in a while. I parked in Yellow short stay, easy walk to the terminal, closer to arrivals so ideal on the way back.

As previously mentioned pay for fast track security on the way out and also fast track passport control on the return. This makes life a bit easier and less hassle, my flight today landed at a similar time to a couple of other flights so passport control was busy, 2 of us had fast track and walked right to the front of the biometric scanners saving 20 minutes at least in the queue.

I'm pretty sure the multistorey is right at the other end of the airport so when walking back to the Hilton you walk through the terminal building leave at the other end (close to departures)

The Hilton is nice, i prefer the Raddison but its expensive, we stayed at the Premier in last time and parked at mid stay which is fine although its not easy to get from the carpark to the hotel as you have to cross the road, not great with luggage or at night.

The Hilton is fine, there are steps or lifts to access it from the terminal and its much cheaper than the Raddison. I would drop your bags off and the family, park the car and then walk back, its probably a 10 minute walk.

Do book fast track when coming back.

Who are you flying with ?

You may need to get the shuttle bus which is fine when leaving the airport but a pain when coming back as its usually very busy.

Download the weatherspoons app, then when you get to the departure lounge, find a table order your food or even some drinks and it all gets brought to your table, its not the best but it will save you having to drag the kids around.

Yeah the multi story looks to be on one side of the terminal building, with the hilton on the other. Hopefully should work out alright. We looked at the premier inn and mid stay parking, it was quite a bit cheaper but I didn't fancy the extra rush in the morning having to get buses etc.

We're flying with tui.

Buses were fine at premier inn, it was £1 each. The only thing I would say is with carry on luggage, hold luggage and some kids you would never be able to walk from mid stay to the premier inn as you have to walk along the road. You will be fine once in, the hotel is close to departures and the carpark close to arrivals. You can pre book fast track through security on the way home too.
