Argentina in May
Discussion
I think the walkways on the Arg side are more impressive and cover more area, unsurprising as most of the length of the falls is actually in Argentina, so more to explore. The walkway is over the Devil's Mouth whereas the Brazil side you're several hundred metres from it on the river bank. Akirk may have an alternative view but I'd recommend the Arg side if you want to get upfront and personal with the planet's greatest falls
I would agree that walking to the falls is much better from Argentina, Brazil has a more limited exposure...
however that didn’t bother us as we a) walked to it b) took a rib up river to it (the Argentines and Brazilians race each other!) and c) took a helicopter over it...
rib was most impressive as you go under bits of it...
helicopter was most spectacular...
we stayed in Brazil as I preferred the hotel...

There's lots to see on the Arg side, getting in and among the various bits of the falls. Brazil gives a good vista of the main section.
I just looked up our itinerary and found we got an early morning flight from BsAs (landing 9am in Iguazu), did the Argentine falls that day, stayed at http://laaldeadelaselva.com for two nights and did the Brazilian side as a day trip from Argentina on the second day. Afternoon flight back to BsAs two days after arrival and that was fine for us. We were there in early May 2008 and the park was deserted so getting about was easy.
