The Longchamp Le Foulonné range of squashy luggage is smart enough to take anywhere and is reasonably priced.

Chapman Rambler. Smart, perfect size and English made.

They do smaller and larger and different styles.

I was looking for a carry on bag and I like the front pockets for passport, wallet etc. There is an outside pocket at the back for the newspaper/boarding pass/work papers and a decent amount of room inside including a couple of pockets for wash things, underwear and socks.

I stay away 2 nights every week. I have one of these

https://www.amazon.co.uk/STILORD-Shoulder-Leather-...

It holds 2 shirts, pants, socks shaver, washbag, small brolly, 17 inch laptop, 10 inch tablet, various chargers and some paperwork.

Looks way better in the flesh than the pics, really soft leather, well made etc. I ordered about 10 different bags from amazon and sent the other 9 back as this was the best.
I've just ordered this one in the plain black leather version, thank you smile Nothing worse than unzipping and revealing your personal stuff so the 2 compartments will be perfect.

Thanks for all the suggestions

I have the weekender from here (also purchased the backpack for a recent trip to the US). Great brand and quality products.

I'm not the OP, but I've just ordered one of these. Not 100% convinced on the brand name, but the bag looked really nice and most of the other recommendations on this thread convinced me that the price was reasonable.

I've recently purchased the large Somerset holdall from here:

https://forbesandlewis.com/

Quality of the bag is lovely, they hold sales in the holiday periods and I took advantage of the Christmas discounts and got more than 50% off.

clap I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Agree on the brand name not really making much sense but the quality of the product in my opinion is top notch. Interested on your feedback once received

My wife treated me to one of these maybe 5 years ago:

https://www.aspinaloflondon.com/products/brit-trav...

It's a really rather nice bag.

Used to use it often to go away shooting - these days, not so often. Still comes out once a month or so.

Let me know what you think please, quite tempted by one myself, as in the market for a decent weekend/work away bag myself.

To expensive and it’s got a fk off great Union Jack on it. Like upmarket National Front merchandise smile

Glad you said it first, wouldn't pay 20 quid for it. Disgusting bag.
