Coronavirus concerns

Time for a thread revival!
I bottled the Xmas Malaysia trip and plumped to do it next Easter. Some of the refund from my trip to Dominican that was cancelled went on the last minute trip to Turkey in late August which was a blast!
The rest of the refund went toward the flights to Kuala Lumpur in March..... but when I was ill in bed week before Xmas (with bloody Covid) BA emailed to state the flight to KL was cancelled and I opted for the voucher. The hotels were pay on arrival so I think my only loss will be the interconnecting flight I had with Malaysia Airlines. They have given a voucher but don’t know when I can use it..... I see they are part of One World so some more investigation is needed.
So, we are back to square one...... have gone full circle and am looking seriously at Dominican again for Easter 21...... wondering if it’s worth chancing a return to some sort of normality by end March???

I was booked with Tui for three weeks in Jamaica in July, cancelled so booked two weeks in Goa at Christmas, considered that unlikely so swapped to Dominican Republic for Christmas. Tui cancelled that two weeks before departure so I've rebooked for Tanzania for two weeks at Easter.
I'm more hopeful Tanzania will go ahead as we are flying Qatar Airways and the resort is open.

Good timing, as I was just thinking about my holiday plans for 2021 (and even 2022!) on my daily lockdown WFH stroll in lieu of a commute.I plan on another attempt at the Normandy trip I cancelled in March (see the start of this thread...) plus the annual trips to Le Mans (24h & Classic) but won't bother with planning any 'big' holidays in '21 on the assumption there will be restrictions of varying sorts until next Winter.

Considering cuba next week but think il knock it on the head. We are not t4 yet but most likely will be - staffordshire.
You can still go whatever your tier. There’s nothing in the legislation to stop you, here it is:-https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1611/made...
This is interesting as we are currently looking at the legality of travel. We are in Somerset so just moved to a tier 4.
Parents have the youngest kids for a month in Jan generally and we head to Mexico for a few weeks. The flights are still on and less than 10 days away now (so unlikely to be cancelled).
Also seems to be lots of plan B flight options home should BA stop flying back whilst we are out there. We have a US registered office so business travel via that route always an option.
I am not massively concerned about COVID itself (both had it previously 0 symptoms and were / are part of the AZ / Oxford trials also) so chances of us getting again are very low. But wife will only go if its legal. I also read the legislation and it looks like all the papers scaremonger as like you I read as guidance rather than law.
Any lawyers know the actual legality based on facts?

Take a look at the thread below. In particular the input from Breadvan (a Barrister) and AGT Law.
