Yes good luck but I thought you will need to quarantine there for 2 weeks?
My friend flew to Miami last week for work and he is quarantining for 2 weeks there before being allowed to work then same when he gets home.
I remember your previous thread about this Petrus, Is this now a permanent move for you?
If so, good luck with it all.

Did you work out how to get on the flight?
Airline & US border need to be aligned or you will be denied boarding?
I booked the ticket via the BA app, I have the court mandate and a copy of the Presidential proclamation. I’ll update the thread on Sunday.Airline & US border need to be aligned or you will be denied boarding?
Hope it all goes well!

Not permanent as such due to Covid- but there’s now a single judge handling things who seems very good and has already made some significant and useful changes going forwards.
Re quarantine in America - I’m flying in on Sunday and out on Monday and then will quarantine in the UK.

It’s a blanket ban on all people from Europe unless your a permanent resident or direct family
I live there , ut under a L visa, I had to come back to the U.K. for family reasons couple of weeks ago and now cannot return to my wife, home or job until they lift the ban, so I don’t know how you get across under a business reason?

Is your wife American? Does this apply to you - It’s a blanket ban on all people from Europe unless your a permanent resident or direct family

(a) Section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:
(i) any lawful permanent resident of the United States;
(ii) any alien who is the spouse of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident;
As others have said contact the US embassy, contact the airline etc so they aren't blindsided when you check in.
I flew into the UK from ATL on around May 23rd and returned LHR to ATL on June 13th, as a US citizen.
Departing LHR as a US citizen was pretty much business as usual, mask required (Delta). At the departure gate I noticed lots of document/passport checking. There were about 3 eastern European sounding guys on the flight that I am sure did not have US passports (judging by the colour of them) and they were being asked lots of questions, but ended up on the flight in the row in front of me. We were given a US COVID related form to fill in to sign to say we had no symptoms etc. Upon arrival at ATL and stepping off the jetway they took the forms and were doing random temperature checks. Then it was entry as normal (I have Global Entry fast track) and off to my connecting flight. I know this isn't very helpful, but again, I strongly I strongly advise the OP to cover all the bases before setting off.
Incidently, when I arrived at LHR I went through UK immigration via the electronic gates and not a word was asked about my entry etc.
Good luck.

Thanks Geeman - was a mask required on the actual flight? Were shops open to buy refreshments from airside at the airport. I’ve been trying to get hold of BA to no avail so far - they’re not even putting you on hold.
In T5 (AA fly from T3, but might move to T5 in a few months to consolidate with BA with the downturn in travel, not that matters to you) the only shops that were open were WHSmiths, and Boots so would expect likewise in T3. No Lounges are open if you are flying business/First, or have airline status that would give you access.Petrus1983 said:

Masks - Required from the gate onto the plane and for the duration of the flight. Of course removed for meals. Normal meal service was provided, incl drinks.Edited by Petrus1983 on Wednesday 24th June 17:21
Seating - Window seats were occupied, seat next to it kept free. Centre row, only the outer seats were used. I was lucky and got the row to myself so could lie down for the redeye to the UK. I'd guess the flight was only 1/3-1/2 full. You were free to change seats once airborne and did your social distancing best.
Airport amenities - I flew out of T2 at LHR. Airport was quiet as you might expect (read very nice). Masks not mandatory at the time. As someone else said only Boots and WH Smiths were open.
COVID-19 restrictions have their benefits...….it was a very quiet and civilized flying experience …...
Don't waste your time on the phone with the airline or embassy.
The executive order is clear - you are permitted to travel into the US as the parent of an unmarried US citizen under 21, and as long as the documents you have prove that (hopefully you have a birth certificate copy), you should be ok... any issues with clueless staff at check in (unfortunately lots of them around) you need to request that they contact the RCLG for verification.
Also, check your ESTA is still valid.... DHS blanket cancelled tens of thousands who had imminent travel booked when the ban was introduced to stop people attempting to travel.
If it is still valid I would suggest not putting your API in the booking in advance/at online check in or it might be cancelled automatically before you get to the airport...better to have them do it at the airport. You may end up having to quickly apply for a fresh one at check in.
There is no quarantine on arrival here. It is recommended to quarantine for 14 days, but there are no checks, forms or follow up just the odd temperature check in some places. Also note that Texas has also just had a massive spike with the Governor now urging stay at home, which may preclude some form of order to do so, so get in, and get out.

My girlfriend is American, and flew from JFK to LHR on 22 May. Was a very bizarre experience, but she felt very comfortable. Plane about 20% full, had a full row to herself. Masks required, food limited, no alcohol served on flight or in airport. She arrived early in LHR and went straight through and I met her in an empty T5 arrivals 10mins before the flight should have even landed.
If you did want to talk to BA call this number (0800 123111) and don't press any numbers when they invite you to do so, just wait and someone will pick up within a minute. Its a Gold line (I am Gold) but they have been helpful sorting her flights out and she has no status. In your situation I am sure they will help, although can't see what they can really do to be honest.
Good luck, I am sure you will have no issues and the flight experience will be better than normal!
