Need to get home to the US, any ideas...
Discussion
Thanks for the update, really good news!
Well I now have just over a week to kill in Turkey, not sure what to do, go travel somewhere or just wait it out in instanbul?
Any Turkey explorers out there with some ideas.
I don’t want to do too much as I really don’t want to catch the coronas virus and I think travel will increase my risk, in Istanbul 90pct of people are wearing masks everywhere so I feel relatively safe here at the moment

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with this, I'm contemplating coming back to the UK for a bit so if your travel planning works might give it a go myself when I return back to the US (assuming the rules don't change of course)
I’ll update the thread accordingly for you.Personally, unless you have to travel, in this environment with this, president, I’d stay in the US for now

Lots of history to see in Istanbul. Drink lots of Turkish coffee (delicious and an excellent way to waste time), eat well (lots of good smaller restaurants just off the main drag and seafood places down near the river). Avoid taxi scams and the dropped shoe-shine brushes...Well I now have just over a week to kill in Turkey, not sure what to do, go travel somewhere or just wait it out in instanbul?

Not sure if you still need cash for the visa on arrival?

Can you come back into the US with kids that are American?
so just to conclude the thread, and help any others out there in the same situation, after 2 weeks in Istanbul, i flew back last night and walked through passport control with no issues.
whilst waiting for luggage 3 guys behind me discussed doing the same thing
God it feels good to be home after 7 weeks!
