Really nice boutique hotel in Cornwall?
Discussion
Greenbank is a nice spot (used to live down the road on Packet Quays). Personally, I’d stay at the Tresanton in St Mawes (different world to Falmouth). Richards owns the Idle Rocks (very nice) and the St Mawes Hotel (more laid back, great place to pop in for a pint by the fire, have a small cinema too) but I’d stay at the Tresanton. The upper Tresanton rooms at the back are the nicest.

It’s what this place was built for https://www.thecornwall.com/special-offers
Close to Charlestown and Mevagissey. Probably booked up solid though.
I'll second this - we get down there once or twice a year. Excellent food, really nice pool, decent little gym. Close to the Eden Project.Close to Charlestown and Mevagissey. Probably booked up solid though.
The only thing I could ever complain about is that there isn't a proper hot tub / jacuzzi - it's part of the main pool and is only at pool temperature.
Avoiding this year, as I feel the experience will be disappointing compared with a normal year. (We normally ensure we're there to do Eden Project parkrun on Saturday morning).

I suggest that you have a look at The Nare at Veryan-in Roseland. Probably Cornwall's best hotel, lovely location, has it's own beach, perfectly relaxed attitudes etc.

Just looked that one up out of interest. Crazy expensive. £600 a night for a sea view room in high season. Doesn’t look close to being that goodR.

Their pricing does look excessive, I wouldn't pay £600 to stay there but we never go to Cornwall in the high season.
You cannot say it's crazy expensive at £600 pn without experiencing it, Maybe anything anywhere at that price is crazy expensive to to you. People pay for exclusivity I guess.. Bit like the price of the Ford Capri Brooklands on PH's main page today: overpriced maybe, but also very desireable for some PHers at any cost.

Wife and I arrive at The Greenbank 2 weeks today.

We'll miss you by a few days - would have been funny if we were there at the same time! R
We postponed our trip to Falmouth and stay at The Greenbank Hotel (due to arrive yesterday) because of lockdown 2. The hotel closes today. Shame, as we've been in Falmouth at this time for all of the last 13 years due to the number of birthdays this week among the Falmouth family members.
Postponed to late March 2021. Hope that will be OK then.
How was your trip/stay?
