Firstly there isn’t time

Secondly I’ve had covid and have antibodies proven with a blood test

Thirdly I have exercising freedom of choice what to put in my body

Finally - although I have disclosed my status on a public forum, it is, or used to be , private information.
While I can understand point 3, I can see it becoming necessary for international travel, no jab, no entry

Nooo not another covid thread!

I suppose it was sort of a summer holiday because it’s their summer but our January trip to SA has been canned. Hopefully going to the southwest US instead now. That means next year all 4 holidays are now N.America. Hopefully reintroduce a bit more variety back into the mix in 2023!

I've had two jabs and Covid and they are still welcome to boost me any time they want because that is what social responsibility is.

Stop! Save your breath. There isn't time...
Oh dear, another lost soul to the coercive medical apartheid propaganda.

Back to the subject of travel. Talk in the DM that UK entry rules are changing imminently but nothing on the UK entry gov site yet. Hopefully they won’t change before I return from the sunshine in a few days.

New Spanish entry rules here:

All 12yrs and over have to be fully jabbed to enter Spain even though even Boris was filmed recently saying jabs do NOT prevent anyone from catching or passing on this deadly virus that doesn’t kill 99.8% of the population with an average less than 82 (he didn’t say the last bit).

Unlike Portugal, who have at least applied some logic and introduced pre-entry testing for everyone (jabbed or un-jabbed), Spain have decided NOT to test anyone pre-entry.

I hope their economy is further messed up by this ridiculous non-scientific illogical political measure designed to keep their scared witless population happy.

When Spain prevent me from entering I will be selling up, like many more I hope.

Plenty of buyers in the right areas… Andalucian property market is the strongest it’s been since 2007.

At least 10 apartments have changed hands on our Urbanización (150 apartments) 2nd half of 2021. Half of them to English. 2 had been on the market for nearly 2 years.

The problem isn't selling, it’s the agent fees… and the taxes if you’re not buying another property.

Plenty of people in the Schengen area still buying in Spain, plus all those happy to be vaxxed 3 times a year forever!

The new rules for Spain effectively bans all teenagers from the UK from entry. We are due to fly out on the 2nd Jan with the new rules due to last until the 31st Dec.

Does it, my teenage kids (and their school mates) are vaccinated. Isn’t this common or something?

Most are single-jabbed rather than double-jabbed. One of my sons has double-jabs as he is classed as vulnerable.

I thought the UK was only jabbing kids once (NHS England link below)? Whereas they need to be double jabbed to enter Spain now ‘’with both doses of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a one-dose vaccine’’.

https://www.england.nhs.uk/2021/08/one-million-chi...

Better get your kids double jabbed quick so they can go on hols, that is until they are required to be jabbed 3,4,5 times to enter another country.

An ok it’s over 12s that are single jabbed and 16-17 yo have mostly been double jabbed. I’ve got one double jabbed and two single jabbed at the moment but the second jabs are due soon. I think the second jab for 12-16 hasn’t been authorised yet.

Even with double jabbed kids you might struggle with the paperwork as there are no NHS certificates. Who knows if a letter from your GP would be good enough.

well, in order not to spend more than 9 months in our lovely damp smelling island with horrendous food and over-crowded shabby beaches, I’m happy to be jabbed once a week. hehe

I mean, the other option is buying my own island somewhere tropical but I might just have to work a bit harder...(like waking up before even I go to sleep). getmecoat

We both double jabbed.
Heading out to Tenerife for 10 days next weekend.
Got most of our going out PLF's done today, just need finishing off within 48 hours of flight
Then while away, we will book the pointless PCR test to get the code.

Are you becoming a tax resident in Spain? I’m yet to find a way of dealing with their wealth tax.
