My easyJet flight to Croatia on 4th July was cancelled today.

3 days ago the flight disappeared from sale (in normal times you’d think it had just sold out, but the equivalent flight for the following two weeks disappeared at the same time). Up as far as last night my easyJet account still showed the flight as taking place. Then this morning I log on, and it says cancelled.

Still no email from easyJet telling me this though.

Very poor from easyJet. Travel is difficult enough at the moment, so they should at least communicate properly with customers about changes.

I don't think they'll let you book your second jab within/less than the minimum 8-week gap from first though will they?

I'm booked for the first day that is 8 weeks gap.
Some GPs will if you ask nicely and have a good reason

I see Italy is imposing a 5 day mandatory quarantine period for arrivals from UK starting next Monday. No real surprise, but probably dashed our hopes of quick decision to take a city break maybe in the autumn. Italy are aligning with France and Germany. Won't surprise me of this becomes a EU wide requirement.

R.
Let’s hope not many other countries follow suit.

Just to clarify, if I enter the UK on 17 July, I need to quarantine until 27 July and have three tests. If I enter the UK on 19 July I don’t have to quarantine and only need two tests?

So staying on holiday for an extra two days would be a good plan…

Not exactly a bad trade off to be fair, Croatia is cheaper for one. I went to Dubrovnik on my own in August last year, had a blast.
No real difference between green and amber anyway!

I think that perhaps the government are making countries green when they know full well they will be putting them back to amber in a few weeks. This will cause havoc for many, and put others off travelling. Therefore staying in the Uk and spending their money in the UK.

Croatia (where I’m currently sat enjoying the sun) has just gone green for the UK. The EU have just downgraded the Croatian coast from Green to Amber on their own lists though. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Returned home from Croatia today. It’s a bit of a faff getting an antigen test before leaving, doing the plf, and booking the test for when back. It’s not difficult though- can’t understand why people think going abroad is so much hassle. (Aside from Boris changing his rules every 5 minutes).

On arriving back, Heathrow was busy-ish, followed by umpteen roadworks and an accident on the m4.

Should have stayed away!

Anyone got an tips for a 5 day break in mid October?

Fancy somewhere with a bit of sun (appreciate its end of season) and to relax.

Just back from 10 days in Barcelona and fancy another trip!
Croatia. Still a decent temperature and not many tourists
