Seven days left and I won’t be sorry to finish. I’ve now gone through 1000 miles and into the last maybe 120 ish.....

If all goes to plan tomorrow will be my last Wednesday walking as I hope to finish next Tuesday.
Yeh but you're then turning around and walking back to LE, right?
I wonder if anyone has done that?

Not sure about walking but my Uncle did it on a bike in the late 60s - Wiltshire to LE, LE to JoG then JoG back to Wiltshire
No idea how long it took him though.

A few people have walked the UK coastline. So that will include a lejog and a jogle.

My wife’s driving up in the motorhome and we’ll drive back over 3 days.

Have to confess that after I completed LEJoG (cycling - I'm not i4got-crazy!), I enjoyed it so much I would happily have turned right round and headed back!
That said....I think the walking challenge you are nearing the end of is a different level of madness & I can fully understand the joy at finishing and likely not walking again this year!
Well done - you're nearly there & have completed a massive journey. Probably worth reminding people of the donation link at this point!

Popped into the Stag's head bar in Golspie for a drink tonight before a visit to the chippie.

A proper old school public bar. Beer crap as usual but nice to go back in time.

Had a chat with the 3 other drinkers. One owns a local hotel and he had some stories about hosting George Ezra on his recent LEJOG.

He’s hoping he’ll be in the documentary when it appears later this year on TV.

(And thanks for charity donations to soad, markcp interstellar, riley blue, phil, bear-n and “another PHer”.)

Good call! One way is plenty enough and something to be extremely proud of.

I would hope that by the time you finish that people will have increased your fund raising efforts- £5,000 has a nice ring to it although in reality still not enough to recognize the blood sweat and (probably) tears that you have put in.

Not to mention the pints of beer that you have had to drink along the way!!

Today is a day of two ‘lasts’.

My wife arrives in the motorhome tomorrow and will be ferrying me to and from the end points of the walks. So today is the last day I’ll be carrying a full rucksack.

Tonight will also be my last night in a tent.

Pretty happy about both.

5 days walking left at most - slight chance depending on the state of the path it may be 4. We’ll see.

Thanks go to warp9 on here for your donation too beer

Pleasure! I think it's awesome what you are doing. A great physical/mental challenge, but equally I bet it's cleansing for the soul! beer
