I do wish posters would stop saying they're giving us an easy one, I know very few!

Lagos, Victoria Island I think.

The name in the pool gave the game away. Whilst I've not been there, I do have links through work.

Looks Greek to me but I have no idea where, I've sailed by lots of islands that have that "look"

Is it that place that used to be a leper colony in Greece?

Crete. We always called it linger longer but I can't remember the proper name.

Spinalonga
Fascinating place. Subject of a bestseller by Victoria Hislop.

Usually followed by loads of random guesses or someone googling it.

Sorry - brain fart.

Victoria Hislop (wife of a funny bloke on TV called Victoria...)

"The Island"

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Island-Victoria-Hislop-eb...
(Other booksellers are available)

It is nicely written (but has no spies, helicopter gunships in it, so is a bit slow). Worth reading if you are going to Crete.

A few books about it , one was a bestseller by Victoria Hislop , "the Island" another "the Eagle of Spinalonga" by Nike Azoros is imo a better book
