Costa Rica is potentially an option too after they recently relaxed their entry restrictions. Looks like some venues can operate with higher capacity if they only accept vaccinated individuals.

Not sure whether that's everywhere and it's pretty normal (probably not a fun trip if you're not allowed in to bars, restaurants, etc...). Might be that capacity isn't an issue so nowhere checks and you'll be fine.
Having been there a few months ago, my experience was that everything is operating pretty close to "normal" regardless of what official protocols and rules may well be. Same for Mexico.

Costa Rica has, or at least had, more onerous insurance requirements than Mexico did, if that is a factor for the OP.

. You will of course need the test to fly back to the UK, which is easy to get in Mexico City or Cancun (where the flights from the UK leave from), and not too pricey.
No you won't & haven't for a while now......
Before you travel to England – not fully vaccinated
Before you travel to England you must:

take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test – to be taken after you arrive in England
complete a UK passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England
You will need to enter your PCR test booking reference number in the passenger locator form.

According to this, if you have had omicron this winter, you could be good to go for Spain.

I have a trip booked for end of Jun and recently we had covid sweep through our house with hardly anyone noticing (one childs school did and banned him for a week) so hopefully I can get this squared up.
I wouldn't be surprised if Spain back down even more as the months progress too. The tide has turned, For example once upon a time airlines were rushing to enforce a mask mandate ("to keep us safe" from the sniffles), now Jet2 removed it and the other airlines are rushing to do the same so they don't lose business from weary punters

Go go go antibody test....

Waiting for the results of my anti body test. Doctor had to approve it "there is no clinical value in this" she said! "Tell that to the Spanish authorities" I said.

My back up would be to take the train across France, to Barcelona and then take a ferry. Problem is France currently consider the UK, who have decided Covid is done, a "orange list" plague ridden 3rd world dump. They really are spiteful and bitter about brexit , aren't they?!

Looks like Vietnam is the first Asian country to open up to non-vaccinated visitors! A test before boarding the flight is required but no quarantine or testing on arrival.

At the risk of sounding facetious, the United Kingdom is also a travel destination for the un-vaccinated!

Looks like EU/Schengen only. Only vaccinated, recovered within 180 days or a "safe country" (the UK is not) are allowed per the NL gov website from a "third country".

Well I finally caught Covid (as a filthy unvaccinated person). Much to everyone's surprise, I'm still alive. I've been debating whether to log my positive test in order to facilitate easier travelling to certain countries for the next 6 months. However, it seems that you can no longer get an NHS PCR test as a follow up to a positive LFT, and only NHS administered PCRs go on your Covid pass.

Has anyone got around this recently? The countries I'm looking at require PCR proof of infection rather than LFT.

NL Government said:
The EU entry ban applies to you. There are exemptions to the entry ban, for example for people travelling from a safe country or people with proof of vaccination or proof of recovery. This proof of vaccination or recovery must meet certain requirements.

If you are travelling by air or by sea, complete a health declaration form.

You are advised to do a self-test immediately after arrival in the Netherlands and again on day 5.
The NL Government quote above applies to 'people travelling from another country (ie not EU or Schengen) - can I elaborate on this and add my understanding: to gain entry to Netherlands you need to be at least one of the following:

1. Eu/Schengen passport holder (nothing else required), or
2. Non EU/Schengen but vaccinated with digital proof, or
3. Non EU/Schengen but recovered within past 180 days, with digital proof, or
4. From a non EU/Schengen 'safe' country.

Nobody needs to show a test certificate to enter NL.

In other words any one of the above is OK. For example, I am unvaccinated but recovered in January and have the NHS digital certificate so I am assuming I will be allowed in to pick up my bags and leave for Turkey a few hours later.

Not sure Canada is an option unfortunately. Hopefully this may change.
