Mine is on my UK credit card. Has anything changed in the past 2 years to require it to be linked to a French bank account?
I set mine up in July this year and linked it to my UK bank account. You’ll need your IBAN number to set it up (it’s in your bank statement)Edited by Gunk on Sunday 28th August 14:40
We need to travel down to Valencia to finalise my late Fathers estate in August. Bip&Go seemed ideal as it works in France and Spain.
I’ve tried subscribing to Bip&Go using several different bank accounts of both mine and the Wife’s. I’ve tried using several different search engines. Nothing seems to be working
Every time the IBAN number isn’t recognised

Worst case can pick one up in northern France at one of their centres on the way to Spain or there are other tag providers. Search PH for similar threads. We need to travel down to Valencia to finalise my late Fathers estate in August. Bip&Go seemed ideal as it works in France and Spain.

Cheers Phil,We’ve tried another provider besides Bip&Go, (I can’t remember which one), but still no dice.
I’m looking on the tolltickets website now, but I was hoping to get a single Tag that covered both France and Spain. It isn’t clear from the tolltickets website that this is possible via them?
The issue that I’m concerned about with collecting a Tag from France is if I have the same issues linking the Tag to a U.K. bank account, we can’t set up our Spanish bank account until be actually get out to Spain, and my Fathers Spanish bank accounts have all been frozen due to his passing.

Emovis has a tag for France and another which covers Slain and Portugal. Both mounted onto the windscreen and paid with the same account.
Emovis works fine, but they expect you to keep the Tag forever , even when you are not planning to go to France, and pay a yearly rental fee. If you send the
Tag back to them and reclaim the 20 euro deposit make sure you send it recorded delivery
as they'll claim it never arrived, effin' chancers.
Try Fulli.
Got one of those linked to a bog standard UK NatWest current account. The standard tag covers France, Spain and Portugal or they also do a "+" tag that also includes Italy. Spain/Portugal/Italy charges differ but worst case for France you only pay €1.70 for the months you actually use the tag in - but take one out now and you don't have to pay anything other than the standard toll fees for the first 12 months.
Looks like €2.40/month for the months you actually use the tag in Spain/Portugal.

I used to think having one of these was a bit of a waste of time - I’m not in enough of a hurry to be bothered about the queue.
Until the last couple of times - fattish car, long bonnet, 30 profile tyres with nice rims. The peages have been a total mare, I just can’t see to get the car close enough to the scanner so that Mrs DS can reach the card reader - the kerbs make it difficult. Anyway last time I scraped my mirror. God knows how people in properly fat RHD cars manage.
Tag next time.

This. Cheaper than the other options but not as widely publicized in the UK. Pay as you go, no brainer!Got one of those linked to a bog standard UK NatWest current account. I wouldn’t be without one - it’s a no brainer - even worse if you have a low sports car….Until the last couple of times - fattish car, long bonnet, 30 profile tyres with nice rims. Especially a RHD one when you're travelling solo!
Doesn’t need to be solo - in my SL mrs DS has a right old time have to unbuckle and try and lean out the window fat enough - or piss about opening the door. In April we had a right panic as we were driving through the barrier - she had dropped her purse - so we had to stop while she got out and ran back to receive it. I’ve never had this issue with any other car.

Sorted via Ullys with no issues using a U.K. bank account. Only a couple of Euros more expensive than Bip&Go.
Except that actually didn’t work.I got an email from Ullys today telling me that my order hasn’t been processed.
Digging a little deeper, it seems that my Bank doesn’t process SEPA payments.
I’ve tried Fulli using my Wife’s account, (who’s bank does process SEPA payments), and all appears to have gone through ok.

Try opening an account with Wise. They are based in Belgium. Everything is via their App which is easy to use e.g. obtaining IBAN codes etc. I got an email from Ullys today telling me that my order hasn’t been processed.

I have a place in Spain and operate all the finances via Wise. Zero exchange fees too.

With the upcoming bills we’ll have settling my Fathers estate out in Spain, that’s a bloody good suggestion Phil.I have a place in Spain and operate all the finances via Wise. Zero exchange fees too.
Thank you very much

How fast have you been approaching the barriers as I know some of them have problems if your doing more than 30mph I think...
We’ve had to come to a complete stop at all of them so far, (4-5?). My Wife has even got out of the van to furiously wave the transponder right in front of the receiver at the toll booth. The last toll we went through my Wife’s Euro account had run out of funds, so we had to sit there for a couple of minutes whilst she transferred some Sterling to Euro.
That went down well with the locals !!!!

Same with my Sanef tag, sometimes you have to, I put it down it not picking up on the way into the peage lane/booth. Not such a bad thing as that also happens to locals as well. The last toll we went through my Wife’s Euro account had run out of funds, so we had to sit there for a couple of minutes whilst she transferred some Sterling to Euro.

One thing I will say is that there are normally designated places on the windscreen that you need to have the tag due (I think) to heated windscreens or something that interferes with the transponder being picked up, should be in the booklet/website as I know the SANEF one came with warnings about this. I'll assume you have tried holding it out of the window as you approach the booths?
