I did FV after several trips to PB and went into Corralejo a few times.
Definitely more of a Puerto Del Carmen affair with the high street and outside, (as was we thought Caleta). The Dunes were nice though.
Playa blanca just is small enough, but I think over the next 5/10 years it will just become the same with the port expansion, hotels and no doubt more housing with rentals. It doesn't even have a non Dino supermarket yet!

Are there any actual proper 5 star properties int he Canaries/adult only places?
Used to live in Lanza and the 5 star hotels were of a 4 star standard if that some years ago.
I posted the answer your seek a few pages back. the two that are in a space of their own is the Hotel Botanico and the Ritz Carlton Abama.Used to live in Lanza and the 5 star hotels were of a 4 star standard if that some years ago.
if you remove the adults only requirement there's more options but they will lack Michelin starred restaurants.
hotels like the Adrian Navaria in Adeje, Rui Oasis Maspalomas, Rui Palace Gran Canaria and the Victoria in Adeje.

It's 5 star, 'adults only', and has two Michelin eateries (one a 2-star).
We prefer the conjoined Corales Suites and regularly enjoy a week there.
Going this Tuesday in fact.

Going back to the ‘are there any 5 star hotels?’ Then the answer is loads! Just in the northern ‘duque’ area in Adeje there’s the Jardines navaria, Bahia, mirador etc. all very nice hotels. I’m returning to Jardines in a few months.

The owners who live in part of the building are feckin morons. An example. Yesterday, we went of on a 8 mile walk, away from 11 till 4. Power outtage when we got back, off til 7. Of course feck all notification from the german owner/host at all, so wondered over to neighbour to ask/see if they had power.....nope, all out til 6 ish they said. Then at 9 get a airbnb message with a pic of the large umbrella on our patio, upside down by a wall. Using airbnb's transaltor he complained that if the umbrella is broken to come around and just tell him?? This message was of course sent via....Airbnb...why didnt HE just come round and tell me. Obvs the wind gusted whilst we were out and just lifted the umbrella up and dumped it down and HE came round and put it back into its stand.......Just how TF would we know....... Its one of several things we have had to endure here. Internet. WE knew that it would be spanish tv via an r aerial and probably german on cable, BUT we have netflix/Prime and shortcuts to all the UK channels on a laptop, BUT to stream, you need around 5 Mbps+ min. So we asked before booking....Ja ja ja, we have 30 Mbps here. Lying peice of st....We have never got more than 20 during the day when use is at a min. Most evenings its between 1 and 3 or 4 Mbps. So TV keeps dropping out/freezing, sometimes for a sec or two, sometimes for 5 mins.
My Airbnb review wont be too good and we just know they will respond negatively on our profile. We will be writing to Airbnb with screenshots of the internet speeds and pix of the damp/mold/mould in the property....(oh I didnt mention the mould)!!!!............I could go on! (Sorry if you think I have). Anyone here complained/written a letter to Airbnb???

Drive back down past the Papagayo mountain range to PB or El Golfo and chances are it'll be clearer and sunnier. Corralejo and the north of FV will be invariably be better when the weather is a bit tits up too.

I never feel easy doing Airbnb with the owners living onsite. The owners who live in part of the building are feckin morons. An example. Yesterday, we went of on a 8 mile walk, away from 11 till 4. He's done it through Airbnb as legal proof no doubt.

Way too crowded for my taste. I'll stick to Fuerteventura.
Puerto Rico is busy for a reason, its very sheltered and its a sun trap.FV, Lanza, Maspalomas and most of Tenerife can be very open and can suffer from ruinous wind chill.
If you take the boat bus to Rico, the natural shape of the bay and how nature shelters you there is something you don't necessarily realise if you arrive by road. Conversely its an oven by June, there is nowhere to hide and I won't go there but in the Winter months....

I go to FV up to 6 times a year and I am about to go for my 21st time compared to 3 GC, 3 LZ and 4 Tenerife. There's a reason for that too, not merely fiscal.FV, Lanza, Maspalomas and most of Tenerife can be very open and can suffer from ruinous wind chill.
