it does? Bloody heck, so it does. is it worth that extra? We wont drink much as my cardiologist says NO to booze. Wifi, meh, we are away and its only 2 weeks...and the tips thing. Guess thats pretty much must do!

The drinks package will cover soft drinks and mocktails too, as well as wine, spirits, beers, cocktails, so i think you'd still be wise to take it.

Wifi is handy for keeping in touch via whatsapp and obvs posting on here about how great a time you're having wink

Not too sure I can drink enough coke to justify that price. wifi, sure I can catch on on essentials when shoreside. We managed for 3 months when we backpacked SEA.

Yeah, although the quoted price includes the drinks package, you can select no drinks package and that brings it down to £1399. That would make a lot more sense in your circumstances.

Am trying to log into various websites thru a .com as opposed to .co.uk for $$$ prices as we will be in the US b4 and are US citizens as well. $$ prices seem quite a bit cheaper and of course I have a US credit card!!!

I've booked through Vacations to go a few times.

The prices do initially look cheap, but they add port taxes to the final fare when you go to book.

Or at least they used to.

A few have still been cheaper though.

an option for some is costco travel...they don't offer a discount but you get a good chunk back as in warehouse credit.

I have read (and I'd be happy to be put right on this!) that booking through UK sites/agents does offer a lot more protection than booking on US sites as well as extras that the US sites don't have/include?

I’ve only done P&O once but I’d struggle to go again - it was very much like a floating Wetherspoons.
From my January trip with them I'd wholeheartedly agree with that.

Previously it's been good.

How would they control the type of passengers booking though?
They can’t. It’s a British holiday company/cruise line which predominantly attracts British customers which is part of the problem. Eating & drinking as much as they can possibly get in their mouth and thinking rules don’t apply to them, maybe. wink

We've done each of those lines and we actually did the Celebrity Equinox which was fantastic. Celebrity are a notch up from Princess or NCL , thats widely accepted.

However none are bad so I'd go by Itinerary / budget. That 14 day Ruby Princess looks spot on, pay extra to book your cabin, it's better than being allocated one above the theatre / nightclub etc or the dross that no one wants. You can look at deckplans etc and decide.

I presume those prices are for two ?

price, yes $2051 for an inside cabin and $2333 to chose your own. I have asked vacations to go, if there are cabins with an unobstruced view to see if the extra $$ is worth it. Doesnt worry me as I have never had a view from any messdeck in my previous life!!!!! But the dates work as the earlier the better for us due to commitments in Jan and Feb! Thanks

Are you sure it's $2333 to chose an outside cabin (with an unobstructed view) or $2333 to choose your own *inside* cabin?

Our ship Seabourn Quest looks tiny next to P&O Arvia in Martinique.

Couldn’t agree more. Have you ever worked on Seabourn?

No, regrettably not. I've had conversations with quite a few entertainers who have, so I have a pretty good idea of how things are there. Their headline entertainers are treated as guests, basically. It sounds pretty special.

I love Hawaii, especially Maui.

A lot to do in Honolulu as well. I found my visit to Pearl Harbour fascinating and thought-provoking.
