I bet you were first in line for a Covid shot
Unlike yourself, I understand that technology as well.

Let’s not forget insisting on vaccine passports long after it was clear that the vaccinated could catch and spread Covid. A perfect example of continuing to enforce a rule that achieved sweet FA.

Back on topic - will usually put the device I’m using in airplane mode to conserve battery. There will be another device or two in my bag doing whatever it normally does.
Do you know what the best thing about travelling in the last 3 years has been?

Not encountering people like you. The fact people.like you hide behind the sofa afraid of the big bad vaccine and the evil scientists.

I just got back from South America. I won't tell you how trying it was to simply get past immigration and customs. I'd rather people like you remaianed cowering behind the sofa.

This is my fifth trip sice 2020.

Plus, if anyone thinks they will get a mobile phone signal at 38,000ft they're going to be disappointed.
On a flight from UK to Spain, had a phone which I forgot to switch off, up on arrival
in Spain, I found a welcome to France text message.
This is why I always turn mine to flight mode; My wife forgot to turn hers off once. When we landed she had a welcome to Azerbaijan text, and a £50 roaming charge. We were not landing or travelling anywhere near Azerbaijan.

Nah not usually unless long haul.

You think if there was a risk they'd let you board with one in your possession.

Laughable.
I don't bother for any sort of flight.

Agree about the risk if it was that serious they wouldn't let you on the plane with a phone.
