Is the 24 price with discount? I looked at a couple of hotels - POR and AKL, POR was discounted 20% and AKL 25%, and there were further discounts at AKL for some room types if you added park tickets.
I know from past free dining trips one thing to look at is, it can be worth upgrading the hotel to get a higher level dining plan, rather than paying to upgrade the plan in a lower level hotel. Just depends on what's on offer - sometimes the pricing doesn't make sense, or can you grab a "glitch" price.
Yeah, got one of those cracker deals for Disney Paris a few years back. It was a winter break and they were doing an offer, something like pay for 2 days, stay for 4.I know from past free dining trips one thing to look at is, it can be worth upgrading the hotel to get a higher level dining plan, rather than paying to upgrade the plan in a lower level hotel. We stayed in the Princess hotel or whatever you call that one thats literally at the edge of the park. We could only go for 3 days but it was still better value booking the offer, which I think was about £1100 for 4 park days, 3 nights in the premium hotel, breakfast, lunch, dinner and all of them were character dining experiences.
On arrival, we got the 4 day park tickets and 3 x breakfast/lunch/dinner vouchers and 4 x days worth of free fast passes that come with that hotel. We managed to use everything up bar 1 x breakfast token as we only stayed 3 days/2 nights but on the last morning, I went to the desk to say we were leaving early, as something had come up and we had to leave later that day and would there be any chance of a partial refund. So they credited me 1/4 of what we paid, despite us using up 'most' of what we had paid for. Best bargain trip ever.
Pro tip for fast passes in Orlando:
If you're struggling to get a fast past for a popular attraction (eg, Avatar was mental queues when I was last there) check the weather forecast, and if there is a thunderstorm pending, use a fast pass on a not so popular OUTDOOR attraction for the time of the storm. If the thunderstorm closes the outdoor rides, you automatically get credited a fast pass for any ride in the park. Boom.
Not sure if its still the case but was like that when I was last there.
I appear to have made things more complicated by looking at Universal. The cheapest option I was finding for a Disney hotel for the 5 of us was to get two rooms at AS Movies, which for 16 nights would come to £4600.
At Universal I can have a 2 bedroom suite for £2200 for 16 nights!
How much of a pain is it to drive to Disney from Universal?

Unfortunately that doesn't work as such any more as Genie+ (paid fastpass system) Has replaced fastpass. Flight of passage is now a paid extra on top of the paid system a lightning lane+
So if you had a lightning lane from genie+ for a ride that went down you get a multi experience pass but it excludes the paid upgrade ride.

Ah, that's a shame. It's a fantastic ride that, I loved it. 3 to 4 hour queues without a fast pass when it originally opened, hugely popular.Flight of passage is now a paid extra on top of the paid system a lightning lane+

It still gets 2 hour plus. Can pay extra to skip the line or rope drop it if staying onsite. Genie+ unfortunately is just another Disney money making scheme that haunts benefited the guest

its easy enough but can take quite some time plus you will be paying $35 a day for parking on top of the parking your paying for possibly at the universal hotel depending where you stay At Universal I can have a 2 bedroom suite for £2200 for 16 nights!

endless summer to magic kingdom 20 minutes to an hour to get there and possibly even longer
honestly i wouldnt stay at either place for 2 weeks ! universal at the best times is a 2 day park with a 3rd for volcano bay if you do that

Everything I read about Genie+ makes me sad that they got rid of the previous free fast pass system.Genie+ unfortunately is just another Disney money making scheme that haunts benefited the guest

The only winner from it was Disney. One positive that was taken away was you used to be able to have it in your ticket cost and made it low price. Now you cant and it uses dynamic pricing.
There was suppose to be big updates to G+ this year but as of yet nothing has been said about that

Looks like a good idea. Can you fill it in before you leave?Hello guys
Looking at booking for next Easter and have a couple of questions.
Been offered Orlando and Tampa for flights? A quick google suggests Tampa is easier. Smaller. Quieter. But further away. Anything else to consider?
Car hire. Staying on site and originally thought I’d just get a transfer. But car hire seems cheap and gives more options through the holiday as we want to go to cape Kennedy etc. can you get 4 cases in a Camaro…???
Cheers.

depends who you are flying with as it depends on what terminal you land at in MCO but if you get a carrier that lands at C id take it, if your flying virgin id rather walk than use terminal A!
every time i check tampa comes out more than MCO also mco has a good selection of cars
and if you have had a long flight and are picking up a car the getting from tampa to orlando while simple is still 80 miles in a car you havent driven before, have you driven in the states before?
id also look at tui and landing at melbourne as another option
as for cars no a camaro wont take 4 cases especially not if they are adult cases even 2 large cases and 2 trunkies wouldn't work its only 291litres a kia rio has a 11% bigger boot!!!! the convertible is only 206litres!!!!!!!
make it easy on your self and get an suv of some description your looking at £1.2k for 2 weeks for a standard suv and £1400 for a 7 seat v8 (turbo v6 if ford) one for easter next year collecting from mco
honestly id forget KSC and uber anywhere else you want to go if your staying onsite at disney
this time we are landing at miami as ba has the better BC cabins flying there and we are going on a cruise first

I don't really want to create an account on a different forum just for one question, but I can see on the CBP website it's for ESTA travellers and I'm going to Tampa with my dad in September however he has a US B1/2 tourist visa in his Polish passport from when we went to NY in 2019 before Poland was accepted into the VWP, whereas I apply for an ESTA on my UK passport every 2 years or when needed. So I'm not sure if I can add him into the MPC app when I do my application?
I have no idea how busy the Dibb is now, but have a look at 'Its Orlando Time' on Facebook. There are the daily stupid questions, but here is a wealth of knowledge on there and I rarely see tricky questions not answered. SunsetZed said:
