I was so lucky to have 5 weeks in Tenerife mid Dec to mid Jan. Amazing weather and loved the area I stayed in.
Seriously thinking of booking another apartment for 3 weeks this June/early July.
If you do bring factor 50, it was 42c when I landed at the end of June Seriously thinking of booking another apartment for 3 weeks this June/early July.
Although I understand that this winter has been the driest in over 60 years.
Apartment £900, flight on BA £240 and car £360. Pretty good for the time of year, I think. Just before school holidays.
10/15 minutes walk into Puerto de la Cruz. I'll try not to get the car towed this time, but at least I know where the pound is?

I'd better bulk buy that factor 50 then as I've booked 3 weeks June/July in Punta Brava this time.
Aye, make sure you bring enough. I was going through a light spray can every 3 days and it was cheaper, in the end, to go back to England, fill the case with goods than it was to pay 18 euro / 23 euros a can over here. Carl_VivaEspana said:

Just got back from a lovely 10 days in Lanzarote. Whilst Lanzarote is the favourite of my islands we quite fancy going to Tenerife for our winter break next year.
I haven’t been to Tenerife for over 30 years and would be interested in what area would be most suitable for us. We would be looking to stay in an Airbnb and access (within a 15 minute) walk to decent restaurants is a must.
Any suggestions would be greatly received.

weather report: after a fairly windy week the breeze has calmed down and the skies have cleared.
February was the warmest since records began in the 1960s.
Abama suites has won the international hotelier award for being the best hotel in Spain.
It was SWMBOs 40th and I picked two restaurants slightly below single Michelin star level to celebrate, Kensei and Petit Chef (hard rock ) and I will post pictures soon. they were both wonderful and very different menus (sushi vs. french).
I did consider a few others but the going rate for a tasting menu is 230eur a head at a starred restaurant and I wasn't prepared to pay that.

Can anyone recommend a reliable airport transfer company in Lanzarote?
We'd usually get a car with Autoreisen or take a taxi but we're going somewhere a bit more remote this time and I'm not sure we could find a taxi to take us back

We have used these guys a number of times, no issues, very good service.
They will be meeting us at Lanzarote airport this Sunday. Had to alter something, had an email from a very efficient lady who sorted it straight away. Even got a small refund.

Pack your factor 25 lads, looks like summer starts this weekend. it's gonna hit 30.
Heard that after the driest Winter since records began there's a water shortage problem.Did go and see some waterfalls in Tenerife back in January and they were absolutely dry back then
Selfishly made for a great winter break though. One day of rain in 5 weeks. Mainly 22c to 24c everyday with the odd high 20s day and some 30s. Dec/Jan.

Where abouts are you? I'm off to Playa Blanca on Saturday so was hoping for some good weather!
Tenerife. It's looks like its going to be a late, last gasp of Winter, its usually a dice roll with Lanzarote, check the wind speed estimates, its been very, very windy here. Keep you awake all night windy. Don't trust the webcams
Just back from 5 days in Morro Jable, Fuerteventura, weather was ok, pretty much what I would have expected, warm enough to get burnt, but the pool was still a little 'bracing', first few days the air quality was a little hazy but cleared up the last day.
Stayed at the SBH Maxorata which was ok, not the best AI we've stayed in, but was ok for 5 days, would have got boring any longer.
Loved the art by the beach, and although they aren't welcome the squirrels.
