Hahah - I did fear this. What's amazing is getting every opinion from 'easy' to 'don't even think of it'! OH is fine with the flights, without luggage and all the paraphernalia. She's in fact flying solo with them before this trip WITH luggage which is entirely her own doing...Not the road trip, that's a piece of piss. My missus flies with a 4 year old and a baby, in fact she did Sunday just gone (again), and have been doing similar or longer car journeys since the 4 year old was a tot. He was 3 when I drove him from Athens to UK in 4 days. Didn't make much of a fuss.Not the road trip, that's a piece of piss. Surprising more people don't just manage this. We have plenty of friends who consider a 2-hour drive with a child an all day ordeal.

Fair enough, flying with the two of them is preferable to driving one IMO. But maybe that's just my kids, we've done long trips but always stopped regularly so they burn off some energy.Bill said:

Then back… Basically it’s visiting family so firstly driving to the Languedoc and then across to Croatia. Likely I will take all the luggage etc and partner plus 2 young kids will fly.
