Cadbury's world ?
I've heard good things about it but never bothered to visit.

I vaguely remember a Tudor museum in Staffs that was good as a kid but can't remember the name though

Black Country Museum, doesn't rip you off if you have kids, it's f'ing awesome, plus they have just opened a vintage garage/cars & you get to ride on trams etc...

Warwick castle and cadbury world are stupid money IMO . Not much to do at either, and pricy!

Ok just saw they are 3

There is the Sealife center in Birmingham, Drayton Manor Park and Zoo in Telford, and West Midlands Safari Park near Telford.

Hmm, great places, but not for 3 year olds!

How about the Safari Park at Bewdley?

Gaydon Motor Museum?
Blackcountry Museum is/was well worth a visit last time I went. Which was some time ago, so it may have changed since.

Does it have to be around the Midlands? Is this part of an all day event or just an afternoon thing? IE, would travel time be much of an issue? If not, my dad once took me to the Isle of Wight for fish and chips. No other reason at all. It was literally jut for fish and chips and a walk round for an hour or two. Might not work with 3 year olds though....

There's loads for young kids (as said above) at the West Midlands Safari Park - animals, rides, shows, food etc. etc.

Or how about Hatton Park?

Telford's a zoo alright.

You should think about visiting Dwarf World in Tipton, and the West Bromwich Museum of Genital Diseases is always a hoot.
