Hello there?

Myself, Landlady and our two landkids (2.5 years and <1) are taking a short break in late April and I wondered whether you guys would be able to offer suggestions of where to go.

Basically, as we're only going for a max. of 1 week, we don't want to travel too far. That said, we are after somewhere warm.

The crucial thing, however, is for our eldest to be entertained. He's still young enough to be amused by anything but I doubt he'd find historic architecture as stimulating as I would.

So - late April, warm, outdoor weather and "stuff" to do. Suggestions? Would a budget of £1,000 be enough (to inc. spending)?

Err... not really because that's been the last few holidays. Plus, assuming you mean UK, we can't really be confident of the warm, outdoor weather.

Cheers,

Ahhh!
The south of Spain is 17c at the end of April. Is that warm enough? 4 star half board will be around 550 mark as an indicator. Most hotels have Kids club, but not being a parent I have never really paid attention to any of these. I have used the company below for my last 4 trips. They have been excellent.

Thanks for the recommendation - I'll take a look.

Oh and 17c would be great.
Cheers!

What I might be tempted to do is to get a place in Majorca that your eldest would enjoy, and then do some driving around the northern part of island which has some stunning roads and scenery

We're about to book 10 days in Alcudia, Majorca. If you google port d'alcudia + apartments there are some lovely ones with direct access to a sandy beach with shops/restaurants 200 yards up the traffic free promenade. Flight is only a couple of hours so perfect for young children.

Not funny, and sadly there is a microscopic chance this could happen anywhere.

Cheers. We did the Algarve a couple of years ago and loved it. I'd happily go back there, just fancied something different, I guess.

Oh, and judging by your garage, you're budget will be a little higher than mine... wink
