Cheapest way to get a race car from Sweden to London?

I will have a word with a couple of people and see if i can get a price together for you. I recently exported a D1 spec 350z from the UK - Luxemburg in a 7.5t truck so something can be done, and alot cheaper than 3.5k aswell...
if you could send me an email to Andy@croome.com with some dimensions (moulds etc) as the prices are usually worked out on a loading meter / cubic meter basis for import and export.
Re the container route, I honestly would not be too worried, I spent 6 years in sea frieght and imported a number of cars via container, the most valuable being an Aston DB4 Zagato (iirc) from New Zeland in silly season (when the south Atlantic is roughest...)

Yes I think the container route might be the way to go at the moment. I can pick it up from pretty much anywhere in the UK, its just getting it here thats the problem.
On the driving alternative I've done this trip any number of times from Midlands to Northern Sweden and back. Tried all various routes but not with trailer.
The two routes that solo are about equal in my mind and I just used to vary them for a change were.
DFDS Harwich-Esbjerg and across the bridges to Malmo and then on up the E4 all the way up Sweden via Stockholm.
Stena Harwich-Hook of Holland, (using the overnight service) up through Germany, Denmark etc etc.
With a trailer the considerably fewer road miles would make it swing very much in the favour of the DFDS service to Esbjerg. Problem is that in the summer the prices on that route get stupid, which was why I started looking for alternatives.

hi! dont know if you are sorted now?
But: it goes a ferry from London direct to Gothenburg (I took it a week ago for £320 one way incl car + cabin)
Cheers
Fred
Ps: if you are going over this way with a trailer do you mind letting me know as I need to get over a little old 50cc moped over.

Cheers for the recommendation.
I transported this for Nick a couple of wks ago, a nice trip to the snows of Sweden.
The Hull/Gothenburg ferry would have saved a lot of miles but it does take 4 days return & can drive there & back in that time & is v expensive for trucks or when towing, the Harwich/Esbjerg one is cheaper but still have to pay the Denmark/Sweden 2 bridge tolls @ approx £220.
So did it the long way via Dover/Calais as after calculations it worked out the most cost effective & took the same time.
Cheers

That made me look up what I paid for the tolls last time I was using the Øresund and Storebælt bridges on a regular basis.
The Danish one is the same, near enough give or take,, but the Øresundbron across to Sweden, talk about inflation! Bloody hell.
