We are looking at going to florida next may (3 couples) for 2 weeks.

Where is the best place to get a holiday house rental from. We would like a swimming pool.

Where is the best area to rent for the main parks (not really disney)

There are loads of sites on the internet any recomendations etc ?

Cheers

Andy

Make sure where ever you go, that there is a nice straight piece of road, so you can reach 88 mph with ease.

Otherwise coming home could be a pain biggrin

Hello, McFly biggrin

Andy,
Here's a thread with loads of Orlando info.

I'm off there two years after you in 2010 and have rented this place which I think's pretty good value for 650 quid per week thumbup

I can highly recommend this place:

http://www.bartonvillas.com/

It's owned by a Brit who lives in the US.

I have been over there a lot and use this site to find villas (u can spot the brits as they list in sterling)

http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/florida/c...

Also a good idea to check out Google Earth to see that where you are is not to close to major highways.

We stayed at Highlands Reserve in July this year down in the dip across the golf course well away from Highway 27. It is listed under Davenport on that site. Great for Golf and has shops right outside (PUBLIX) and is 15 minutes to Downtown Disney and probably 30 to Universal. It is out to the West along the I4/H27 so not for everyone but you get views over a nature reserve with peace and quiet.

Google Earth it is 28°18'10.74"N, 81°40'42.56"W
