What was the Gate Gourmet disaster ? They have a near monopoly at my airport (although BA reverse cater what little food they offer on Euro routes now).
Gate gourment was this one in 2005: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4142408....

Which makes me worry that even if BAs legal challenge to this ballot is successful (and I can't see it being successful personally if im honest) whats to stop them striking anyway, or sympathy strikes like that.

I think it will go ahead TBH- willie cant back down on this... the airline is in big trouble if he does. Caving into the greedy union will do no good whatsoever, and it will happen again and again further down the line

Strike is now off as the High Court have ruled the ballot illegal.

Panic over for all those who would have been stranded at Christmas.

And while all you clowns are ranting about BA...

SAS said:
Dear valued customer,

SAS Group Ground staff take industrial action 22-23 Dec, 26-27 Dec, 03-04 Jan at London Heathrow & Aberdeen

The industrial action will be a series of 48-hour strike periods covering 6 days:
Tue 22 Dec, Wed 23 Dec, Sat 26 Dec, Sun 27 Dec, Sun 3 Jan, Mon 4 Jan

Yours sincerely,

Hans W. Dyhrfort
It should not affect flights but even so...

I don't fly SAS anymore unless I have to as their staff are just so fcensoredg rude so why he calls me a valued customer not the first clue.

I got lucky this time, I leave Luanda 2 days before they start the first strike and I leave London 3 days after the second one ends.

Didn't you enjoy your Star Alliance trip last time?

Never had to do it.
As we were sure the strike was going to be cancelled I never cancelled my BA tickets so I flew with them. They even gave me an extra 25k air miles as a thank-you for not cancelling my bookings.

Sad, but the only time I am due to fly since December they drop the strike on me. Lucky for me it was just before I booked, so I managed to bail (worrying image) to Lufthansa. This can not end well for BA.
