Group adventure travel companies
Discussion
Does anyone know of a good company to do adventure holidays with? I am considering it as an option this year and need to find suitable companies. I will be on my own, and am in my early 20's, so do not want to be stuck on a 3week trip with people in their 50's
Any recommendations of companies would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Little list I created for a friend:
(in loose order of affordability / okayness!)

Then there's the overland type companies (truck based travel, mainly camping, though some of these do normal type trips as well):

I've travelled with Imaginative Traveller (great once, useless and a real let down the second), Dragoman (good as overland companies go, though older trucks), Kumuka (okay, good guides, mainly aussie, heard bad things about them outside of africa), and Travel Indochina (older groups really, think Aussie SAGA, but very good quality). The choice of company really is massively important-you're not just choosing the trip style, but the travel companions as well. This is critical, having seen a few groups! Based on what I've seen/heard, I don't think you'll go too far wrong with any of these:
