Sorry what? You mean for £9.50 The Sun aren't flying you over there, expenses all paid, food inclusive, accommodation paid for?

Shocking.

£9.50 for the ferry and entrance is good (if you like that sort of thing).

Having just gotten back from Disneyland Paris last night, I had a bit of a laugh about this myself. Firstly, how the hell are you going to see even half of the park and get on some of the rides in part of a day? The place is huge and there is so much to see and do, if i only had a few hours there I would feel cheated at having to leave so soon.

Since OP is going though, I strongly, very strongly infact, suggest you take the time to see the Moteurs action show in the Studio park. It's about 45 minutes long and on twice a day, and is excellent, the quality of the driving is amazing.

Befor having the boy i saw this show in Florida, really is impresive and so are the cars, in terms of how they work!
The 3D cutaway of the car is excellent, though I suspect 99% of the audience had no clue what it meant!

Steel rollcage + bodyframe
No real interior
bodyshell over the frame
rear mounted motorbike engine
rear mounted sequential gearbox
gear lever upfront with 4 forward gears, and a twist grip to engage reverse, which iirc has 2 gears
Fly-off handbrake
convential clutch, brake, accelerator pedals

Onthe way into the arena for the show in the Paris park you walk past the workshop, and I saw a few of the Corsas in stripped down states, and there really is nothing to them! It says on the adverts "Featuring Opel Corsas", and what appears to be a modified Astra / Tigra thing, but in truth they are Opel in bodywork only!

The Sun is running 9.50 ferry and park passes for Disney Land Paris which is a great price but unless you live in Dover its likely you would want to book a stay over. Well, dont bother, not through the Sun anyway!

I have already booked a stay in February through Disney and with travel, tickets and accomodation it is less than £430 for 3 nights, 2 adults and 1 child.

With the Sun you pay £9.50 per person then accomodation is FROM £99 per night on top of this! Its a rip off and i have been stung by the Sun in the past!

Earlier this year i booked a cheap holiday to Devon and ended up paying £70ish through the Sun because of suppliments etc. When i got the booking information back i checked out the park i would be staying at, as anyone would. I found to my horror that if i had booked directly through the park i would have had my choice of dates and it would have been £10 cheaper!! I felt fleeced to say the least!

Sun holidays really were a bargain in the begining but now they are nothing more than a con!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

You try to make a post that helps people avoid a con and there is always someone with nothing better to do than talk st!!
Except it's not a con, is it? You don't have to take the Sun up on their offer.

It's not a con.

Anyone who thinks they can have an entire holiday including accomodation to Disneyland Paris for £9.50 per person, probably has issues dressing themselves properly in the morning.

Take it for what it is, ferry and entrance for £9.50, and it's a absolute bargain.

ETA: You even say you've been 'stung' by the Sun in the past, so to fall for the same 'scam' [in your words] is even more mind-numbing.

God bless the Sun....biggrin

Took the kids down to Pontins at Brean Sands, Somerset about 15 years ago for £9.50, had a great time, weather was fab and they even threw in £100's worth of Pontins pounds to spend.

Great value.....smokin

You can get a ferry crossing and entry to Disneyland for less than £9.50? Where?

I should know really that being PH i was always going to get plenty of people who comment on a thread like this just to build their post number, very sad.
Unfortunately you are right frown

On the bright side, i have learned that 99% of cons i have ever heard about are not infact a con as there was no legal obligation to sign up to them!

This could equally be cheap cars aren't what they claim etc. The £9.50 gets you a certain product if you want more than that or to alter it then it may work out cheaper to book direct. The same way it can be cheaper to buy individual tickets for sections of journeys than the whole journey on the train.

Read back through the first post. £9.50 is a great price but thats what sucks you in, if you pay for accomodation, which most would, then its more expensive. Simple as that!
Simple, it seems, as you...

Am I missing something here. I assume you're not obliged to book the accomadation,so you get the ferry and entrance for £9.50, which I imagine is bloody cheap? Being a sucker, and being conned, are two different things surely?

Nope, just read the first post again and still can't see where it is a 'con'?!

You say that a holiday for three people, for three nights costs £430 (without The Sun deal).

Then say that if you take The Sun deal, it would be £9.50, plus £99 per night. Which works out to be just over £300 (cheaper).

And who is forcing you to book accommodation at Disneyland if you take The Sun deal? Surely there are cheaper hotels close by?
