New year Thames river party cruise??

A few friends are looking at options for New Years
Has anyone ever been on a Thames river cruise/party boat for New Years?
Would you recommend doing this?

I've looked at having a party on a boat in Reading once. Saw the prices and decided it just wasn't worth it!

Done it a couple of times years ago, my only comment, remember you can't get off! By 2am I just wanted to go home, had to wait until 5 am when the boat got back to Westminster. Ended up sleeping on the deck, frozen, hung over....not nice.
