Not sure why the original post here was deleted, but I bumped into Jem Marsh at Le Mans the other week. He was squatting in a camper van in the media car park cracking open a crate of wine he'd just won in the ACO's annual golf tournament! He assured me that Marcos will make a comeback, and soon. He seems to have gathered together some of the original workforce, bought back the rights to the name, and intends to resume manufacture sometime next year.

If everything goes according to plan his son Chris is also about to launch a completely new car at the next motorshow. Other than the fact that it's an all-new project (although reviving an old name from British motorsport heritage) I know nothing more about it. Does anyone else?

Also heard the rumour about the Marcos comeback. Apparently the new car is similar to the previous Mantaray and is not far away from being completed.
Re. Chris Marsh I remember reading that his new company is called ITS.

Oooh yes please!!

The Mantaray was the best looking car to ever come out of the Marcos factory, but it needed a lower price tag and a bit more grunt if it was ever to compete with those pesky TVR things.

I'm convinced there's a gap in the market for a smaller, V6 engined model as well. Think FBS without the hideous styling, for about £25K.
