I don't think PH is a good barometer to what may or may not generally be found to be offensive!

Used to do this on the street, far too often. (It gets better as you get older) One minute you're walking along amidst others, life is good... the next minute you recall an amusing comment someone made recently and snort up an explosive giggle-snort-bomb which explodes out of your nostrils, eyes and mouth, attracting unwanted attention, raising the wiry eyebrows of the normality police (which is always everyone but yourself).Only the street walking cake-eaters tend to look shameful and glance downwards when it happens, which is the only upside.

But he does have a point.
