I went to a climbing wall with a dozen colleagues a couple of years ago.
I bought my rock boots in 1985, when only one of the colleagues I was with had been born.

I'm guessing Boreal Fire. Very much the shoe at the time. Great edge, sticky. I've still got a pair from that very year somewhere although I'm not climbing any more.

I bought my EBs in about 1982, can't remember exactly when, haven't climbed since 1987, tried them on a couple of years ago when a friend invited me to an indoor wall and my feet have spread in the last 30+ years! I know they're supposed to be tight, but not that tight! I bought my rock boots in 1985, when only one of the colleagues I was with had been born.

I'm late 60's and have a mixed bunch of mates aged from mid-thirty's who (before Covid) met up every 5 weeks or so for a curry.
I stunned the younger ones 18 months ago when I told them that my first two houses cost almost half than my last two cars.
I still haven't (and now won't) bought a car worth more than my first house (1987). I'd like to say I was cheap but just poor!I stunned the younger ones 18 months ago when I told them that my first two houses cost almost half than my last two cars.
Wouldn't stop me window licking if there was a showroom with a Zonda in it, I can dream

No but the road I live on is named after the farm it was built on.
The house I live in was the farm that owned the fields that my neighbours houses are built on. Bulleid road without a train in sight
Big development in north Bristol on the old disused Aerospace runway with all the districts being called Brabazon or Concorde
