I still call it Marathon.
Someone else in a shop called me out on it and I replied that I hadn't got used to the change of name.
'But mate, it was 30 years ago!' he replied.
I’m still struggling with the newfangled plastic heat sealed wrappers. Someone else in a shop called me out on it and I replied that I hadn't got used to the change of name.

They were so much better when they were made of paper and could be smoothed/flattened out to a rectangle that could make a serviceable paper plane. Mars bars, too.
Putting in £10 of fuel would last all week for travelling to work and weekends as well. Plus after drawing up to the attendant pump and hearing the *ding* *ding* of the bell after driving over that small rubber tube someone would come out and after asking for £10 they would mention if you were going on holiday for putting such a vast amount in.
Back in the 1980s someone stole quite a bit of fuel from my Mini the case went to court as they had also done this to other cars as well and I got... £3.50 in compensation!!

A year or so ago I fancied a Turkish Delight, but was shocked to find in the newsagent's they were 70p, and I thought 'that's mad, 14 shillings!'.Someone else in a shop called me out on it and I replied that I hadn't got used to the change of name.

I’ve a new bench mark
When you fall for the brands in sports direct. Always see brands in there and think that’s an incredible price for xyz brand. Buy it then realise its cheap tat that they’ve got the rights to sow a logo onto it.
My dad started to fall for this with Kodak branded stuff in pound type shops, now I’m falling for it

When you watch Top Gun and are reminded that today the F14s are as old as Spitfires were when the film was first released.

When watching Unforgotten, you're shocked to learn Marathon became Snickers in 1990!
(Maybe I should be more shocked that I can still remember 30+ years ago )

Hard to say, as we all have our own frame of reference as to what we consider old and what we can't imagine growing up without. At least in 1991 you still would have had computers, games consoles, tvs etc and the internet in a very basic form. 1955 seems like a completely different world, not just in tech but the way people dressed and acted.
I would say the bigger shock would be 1985 to 1955. Even more so for a teenager in Britain. ‘Youth culture’ hadn’t really begun. The country was still very much in the post war period. The technology and lifestyle of the 1980s would have been difficult for a 1950s teenager to get their head around. If you took an iPhone back to 1991 it would be impressive, but not otherworldly.

If you'd have told 1991 me that one day I'd have a device that fits in my hand, can instantly take photos which don't need to be developed or videos not stored on tapes, recognises voice commands, has satellite navigation, can watch virtually any film, listen to any song or communicate instantly with people on the other side of the world and can be bought for under £100, it would seem like something from Star Trek.
Although that being said, if you did visit your future dad in 1991 you wouldn't be able to trick him by calling yourself Darth Vader.
