It doesn't make any sense in that context. The 'a' shouldn't be there either.
After reading your post, then re-reading Citizen Smith’s effort, I have to concur with you.
Ffs, that’s twice since May that I should have kept my trap shut, and my keyboard untouched.

I would ideally never want to go back to another I4 again if i could help it, the noise of 5 cylinders and above makes driving experience so much nicer that i think id hate to go back to a I4 that most cars are these days, id rather get a 3 if possible as they can even sound good.

Is there anything you wouldent go back to if you could help it? I.e. FWD, MANUAL GEARBOX, HOT HATCH, SPORTS CAR etc etc.

it's not a binary measure. You don't abdondon the whole thing because you found a loop hole.

If only half of indoor spaces are 'masked' that has an impact on spread.

As said already, if the mask requirement was implemented at the time lockdown was eased, it would have been accepted with a bit of grumbling. Imposing it weeks after lockdown has been eased, and when infection and death rates are very low, is just appeasing the braying crowds.

The problem is the cars that crashed weren't doing the speed limit they where well above it. And dropping the speed limit makes no difference to them because they will just brake the new limit.
Alternatively, they could use their break pedal to slow down a bit.jester
