The met gala was clearly a DLAN event for the MMTS sector, especially its
OGITB element. Who's going to work these three out?

Dress Like a Nob
More Money Than Sense
Or Go In The Buff

The second one is the personality judgement that results from such sartorial shenanigens.

I'm sure they're all very important, but I haven't a clue who any of them are, apart from Hamilton.
I think that’s the point. Hamilton asked a load of BAME young, relatively unknown designers to join him at the gala to help boost their profiles.
Oh right. Fair enough.
But lampshade man's still funny hehe
In addition to lampshade guy Lewis appears to have got tangled up in a net curtain after popping round to visit his grandmother for tea and on the left we appear to have a man in a lovely frock. All coming to a high street near you soon.
Has the geezer in the dress got a random shoe?

I saw a few pics of him from the gala stood next to that cara lass. She was wearing something utterly ridiculous and I remember thinking Hamilton has played it classy here with straight black tie.

Nope. He’s got a see through shirt and his grans net curtain hanging out the bottom. Like he accidentally tucked it in there whilst rearranging himself in the spare bedroom and then walked out without realising. The equivalent of getting toilet paper on your shoe and traipsing it out the bathroom.

Yet I’m sure that’s high fashion and worth more than 5 years of my salary.

The thing is and yes, I know this will fall on deaf ears is the gala is a fundraiser put on be the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.

The clue is in their name, Costume.

Think of it as the fashion societies charity fancy dress party. Have you ever been to a fancy dress party? I despise the fking things but the idea is you dress up like a tt.

The Met Gala is the same. I’m sure there’s plenty of virtue signalling and irony going on but in the grand tradition of dressing up like a tt it’s all there.

I'm not that bothered what he gets up to, it's a free country after all even if it's not my taste. What I am intrigued by is a couple of things:

- with covid still about, and the championship being so close, is it wise to potentially expose yourself to that many sources of infection, get covid and then have to miss the next race?
- if your neck was sore after the crash at the weekend, would you want to spend so much time on a plane?

On the covid thing, don't get me wrong I'm fed up with the whole thing and am getting on with my life. I'm not trying to win the F1 title though...

So he claimed during the contract negotiations last season (funny how that only seems to be an issue for drivers during contract changes...)

But you can get it more than once - apparently.

Very, very rarely indeed.

(bugger, every bloody thing gets covid woven in, sign o'the times smile )

ETA citation for assertion.
