Damn you.

Had a great day at Zandvoort. Some excellent cars there, and I got sunburned!

'sup scrotes!

I are rather tired today.. started drinking about 4pm yesterday and finally crawled into bed around 3am this morning. Good night thumbup

I may have also spent large chunks of the evening texting with my mate's sister, had to check the ole sent box this morning to make sure I hadn't said anything that would lead to me getting my balls cut off. Fortunately my sense of self-preservation did it's job and I can continue living with impunity hehe

I quite fancy going to practice some kicks then going for a few beers at The Vine.

I'm working tomorrow, so that won't happen. frown

OFF BEAT QUIZ QUESTION OF THE DAY:

What is the connection between the Hillman Imp and Aston Martin?

Answer around 8 o'clock Newbury time.
Zagato.

Plus the 1st Aston had an early Coventry engine.

I went to Superdry today and got a hoodie and top, spoke to some cheerleaders in US of A. I also met up with an old mate.

Today has been good. I am broke now, and I am just glad it is Pay-Day on Friday. biggrin

Augustus Cesare "Bert" Bertelli was half of Renwick & Bertelli the second owners of Aston Martin (they built a one and a half litre sportscar, weren't allowed to call it the Renwick and Bertelli by Woolf Barnato for whom they had already built a car, and bought the name Aston Martin from the defunct Bamford & Martin). On the demise of AM's second incarnation, Bert Bertelli worked for High Duty Alloys who were one of the companies tendering for a lightweight fire pump for a government contract. Bertelli used a version of the Covernty Climax engine - similar to that used in the Imp. When asked to show it to HMG he noticed the meeting room was on the second floor and carried it up stairs to the meeting. The lightweight fire pump used today by the forces is a development of Bertelli's design.

In his old age he could never understand why people held his Astons in such high regard. "They are old," he would complain. It wasn't false modesty, he genuinely wasn't interested in old design and always strove for new ideas.

Clogged the beard trimmer with beard. Somehow managed to finish the trim. For a moment I was terrified. I'd only done one side!
