The reason that I wouldnt ever buy one, not even the Subaru dressed up like a VW Type 2...

Did you see the episode of Fifth Gear a few years ago where fat Tom crashed one on an oval track, at a modest speed, and broke his leg?

That made me shudder.
To be fair i wept with laughter at that onerofl

Already have a tablet, but got taken by the screen!

Certainly didn't need it.

Bas! Currently trying to convince the OH that we need one of these.

She says we don't. I say how do you know until we get one?!

Whats it like driving a vehicle which uses your femurs as its principal crumple zone?
Exciting and stupid all at the same time. You just don't get that with modern motors! I would say it also makes you a better driver, but the heavy rain and subsequent slippery roads we had earlier today, would suggest otherwise hehe

Next on the frivolous purchase list is a power kite :-)
You definitely need one of those. I've got one. Bought it June last year.

It's been out of the packet once.

On a day when it wasn't windy enough to take off. hehe
I used mine on a really windy day at the beach.
I'm not paticularly small or light, and I got dragged very quickly forward every time it got properly into the wind leaving long gouges in the sand.

Amusing but I felt like I'd had a kicking the next day!

Recent purchase for me was an LED Lenser P7, they were reduced on Amazon and a realy really bright torch is always handy....

Tac-Force rescue knife.

Seatbelt cutter, glass breaker and dog stabber.

(I say dog stabber because I had a dream last night that a dog attacked my kid whilst we were in the park and all I could do was hit the dog over the head with the only object I had. I am hoping that the Iphone 5 is heavier.)

I am contemplating getting this (not to fend of dogs but for halloween) but I can just imagine some dullard parents shouting "What are you doing, you're scaring my poor kid. She's only 5yo for gods sake man!" etc

If I may:

Frivolous (in PH World): Not having or having a serious value and not having a serious or necessary purpose, thus beyond the comprehension of normal wimmins.

There, now back to eBay.
