I remember some one had an istick/eleaf pico combination. I was looking at them the other day as a good out of the house set up. Any owners or ex-owner have any thoughts, any good?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01ERPNUK0/ref=wl_it_d...
I've had the Pico, albeit with a Cleito on top, for ages now. It's the first combination I've had whereby I don't feel the need at all to change. It's small and gets me through the day relatively well. Has survived a few drops too, with a few scratches that can be seen (I've the all black version). I only smoke at c. 35-40watts though, not a high wattage kind of vaper.

One thing to note is that due to the top cap for the battery, not all tanks will fit. Can't remember the exact mm width of a tank that it'll take.

The only reason I'm thinking of buying another tank is due to the impending TPD and the need for a good back up, other than that I've no issues with it at all.

Cotty - I know you are a pretty hardened vaper. As someone who has vaped about 3 years and is rubbish with tech, can I enquire what makes you want to try new machines? I can understand flavours etc (albeit I have even been vaping the same flavour for that time - hence the 2 box load). But why the variation in devices? I have been quite happy with my device so am not minded to buy any new ones unless I felt technology had vastly changed or can see some other advantage but these are older styles of machines? Just intrigued really.

I suppose the big shift for me is I changed the way I vaped. As a smoker and early vaper I was always mouth to lung inhaling so the Nautilus was the tank that got me off the cigs. I learnt about direct lung inhaling and started taking direct lung its off the Nautilus on max airflow, I liked it but it was still restrictive.

I bought a kanger subtank mini which had good airflow with a 1.2ohm coil at 18w and was happy lung inhaling. Then they changed the coil design from horizontal to vertical coils which were st, tried a 0.5ohm coil at 35w and liked that so needed a mod that I could replace the batteries and bought a couple of Kanger Subox Mini. Then they changed the tank to top fill, so I replaced the tanks. It is a good set up and have use them for ages however with a 5/6ml tank and the mod they are quite big and heavy if you wear a suit every day. The Pico seems to do the same as my set up but in a smaller, more discrete, lighter version so easier to carry around.

The tank isn't going to be as good as the toptank unfortunately but the mod is absolutely fine - have used mine with a couple of tanks and not had a single issue (Except loosing it in a shoe for 6 months.. it is quite small) if I wanted a new one, I'd be getting one of the resin ones http://www.gearbest.com/temperature-control-mods/p...

Just reading the new regulations, I thought these were brought in by the EU and thus would not apply if we are no longer in the EU:

Refillable tanks must have a capacity of no more than 2ml
E-liquids can not be sold in quantities greater than 10ml
Unless registered as a medicine e-liquids can not have a nicotine strength of more than 20mg/ml
E-liquid packaging must be child-resistant and tamper evident
Additives including colouring, caffeine and taurine are banned
All e-cigarettes and e-liquids must be registered with the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency before they can be sold
Stricter labelling requirements

We're still in the EU for the next two years. New rules start on 20th May hence why so many vendors are selling off non compliant stock cheap.

Plume Blu are having a pre-TPD clearout -£2/10ml, £4/30ml, £6/50ml and £9.50 for 100ml https://plumeblu.co.uk/clearance/ I got 320ml in 6mg for £35 delivered - use POTV12 for 12% off.

This stuff is excellent and full of flavour, unlike the link I posted for Simple vape co! Plume Blu are on a par with Manabush and Digby's for me as some of the finest British eliquids on the market and 30ml usually sells at £12.99.

The three I mentioned are top notch. I find American liquids to be full of sweeteners and too sickly. Haven't tried any Malaysian stuff yet but hear it's excellent.

Black note is by far the best I've tried. However, its by far the most expensive I've seen as well.

Many places are getting round some of the TPD stuff - selling larger bottles of nicotine free juice "mixer" along with a nicotine shot. The shot is the part that has to be registered and tested.

I suspect tanks will ship in a TPD compliant 2ml config , with an aftermarket extender glass available. Tank size doesn't affect drippers of course!

There should be plenty of bargains around as shops sell of their non TPD stock!

Got a tank extension for my goblin mini v3

I have used it only once despite it more than doubling the capacity, it mutes the flavour enormously

What's the best 18650 batteries about nowadays? I got a couple of LG HG2 a while ago but they no longer seem to be holding charge for as long as they once did.

They were from eBay but I'm pretty sure they were real (after doing all the usual checks). I think I'd rather buy them from a proper seller this time - any recommendations?

Cheers

I've only ever bought Samsung 25Rs for my regulated mods and I've not had to throw any out in 2 years (Some have had re-wraps

That's a list of the batteries recommended by Mooch, a guy on Reddit who tests batteries

So you don't rate Wick Liquor?

I am surprised, I've not found anyone that didn't like it, have you got a decent setup?

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone can advise on a starter kit or a good place to start with this. My mum has decided to give e-cigs a go again. She smokes the green menthol cigarettes, about 10-12 per day. She tried a menthol e-cig years ago when e-cigs first came out and she said it tasted disgusting and she never went back to it.

I imagine things have improved over the years. I think something that has a very subtle taste or perhaps you can get starters that have a variety of flavours she can try? It does not need to be a top quality machine since she might not get on with it and it could be in the bin by next week, but she doesn't want a dodgy import that's going to explode her face off or give her a bad experience that might put her off. Can anyone advise please?

Thanks.
