That looks great, any details on the juices ? I tend to diy mainly but it's nice to get premade now and then.

How are you getting on with the DR SQ ? I'm very happy with mine running an alien coil from Daniel.
Some here mate I think I paid £12 for mine though

https://vapeuk.co.uk/collections/nos-e-liquid

It’s pretty nice, not as good as Fantasi/Nasty juice but still nice.

Loving the SQ!!! It’s great for me, tend to prefer single coils to duals and build around 0.3/0.4ohms. Tons of flavour, dead easy to build. Ive tried a few coiloligy coils in here but keep going back to Brochrome. Should have gotten some ages ago, it’s excellent! I’ve only used it on my squonker though, need to swap the bf pin and give it a going over in a regulated mod.

Looking for some assistance....or some insight, to why my Smok Baby beast is going through coils which would make smoking a financially better option!

Got the Smok AL85 mod, with the supplied baby beast tank. In the last 10 days it has gone through 7 coils!
I put the first 2 down to a bad batch, but now i'm thinking its something to do with settings? or the way i'm vaping?

Using the V8 Baby Q2 0.4 ohm Coils, vaping under the "Normal" Mode, @ 42 Watts, which is way below the recommended rate. Using 70VG/30PG liquid.
Always Prime the coil, and step up the Watts slightly when a new coil is installed.

I have also tried the trick of poking pin hole into the wick holes, which does increase the life slightly, but only by a day.

Anything else i should be checking? anyone else had similar issues with the Tank/Coils?

Hoping i can avoid buying a new tank! Thanks in advance for any replies!
I had the baby beast and had terrible coil issues, would be lucky to get 3-4 days out of one. Gave up in the end

All 'stock' coils have an amount of obsolescence built in, it shouldn't be that bad. Having had a few coils apart they are so packed with cotton it's amazing they last that long (your pin trick is just allowing it to wick a bit better)

You need to move into rebuilables really to get decent coil life.

I had two packs in a row refunded through vape club due to poor quality issues. Like you say I had a coil lasting barely a day. Changed the coil type and had no issues.

They did admit the smok had sent through some poor coils and they refunded a fair few customers. This was around a month ago.

Had similar problems with Joytech Atopack coils, had one good coil out of around 50 and lasted almost a fortnight, a few died after 5/6 days but most lasted 1-2 days. Bought a new pack and every one of them burnt after a few minutes use. Tried the prick the wick with a needle thing, that helped but ended up flooding the coil and leaked right through the mod so had to bin it

Rebuildings the way forward with a good rta or dripper, pretty easy once you’ve done it a few times, or just get a pack of pre built coils.

SMOK coils are notoriously stE! There was a fella on the vaping forum who was delighted that he was now getting 4-5 days from his SMOK coils after changing liquids to 60-40, he was getting a day beforehand also! Mental!

I know you don't wan't to buy a new tank but I'd ditch the Baby Beast and buy one of these https://www.evolutionvaping.co.uk/trillium-sub-tan... Takes a multitude of different coil types as that is what it was designed to do from the get go - I think it can accept something like 28 different types of coil so if you find a bad batch or you don't like the resistance of the coils then you can change out the coils for a different brand. You can't do that with the SMOK.
The Trillium accepts these coils and the list isn't exhaustive! I believe the Tobecco Super and mini are highly regarded

This weeks vape travels took me to Australia (China) today, the Bonza RDA designed by Aussie youtube reviewer the Vaping Bogan (NSFW if you search him out) and is designed for hoofing great coils and lots of airflow, but is super easy to build on. I've got a set of Smut (Daniel's) Alien coils in series configuration and they are giant! This build on a series box equates to 175w on fresh batteries, it's a warm vape as you can imagine. All in all a cracking wee RDA for all of the 18 quid I paid for it smile

Far as I know there are 1.5ohm MTL, 0.5ohm DTL and 0.15 for temp control - the coils are really easy to rebuild yourself.

Bit of an understatement!!!! Does good reviews though. What ohms did you ask Smut to build for Steve, wouldn’t mind some Aliens in my TM dripper

I just asked him for something beefier than the fused claptons I had off him previously and for the resistance to be between 0.35-0.4; he knocked me up a set of aliens coming in at 3.5mm ID and 0.38ohms for the princely sum of £7.50 delivered.

I bought a twisted messes 2 off Daniel (and a mod) and he put a set of fused claptons in at 0.2 and they were fantastic; I then got some series fused claptons off him coming in at 0.4, think they were 2 x 28awg wrapped in 40awg and they seriously kicked arse - would be perfect in the TM2 on the Noisy Cricket wink

I have the baby beast so thanks for this list - will go and purchase this tank..

Would you have a recommendation for which coils are best if vaping at 30 - 50 w on 50/50 or 70/30 juices ..

Generally always found aspire coils for my nautilus 2 to be good so would sticking to aspire Atlantis coils be ok?

The atlantis coils are 3/4 year old tech, the triton coils were the replacement but they're still a few years old

At your wattage, aim for something around 0.5ohm, if you get as low as 0.15-0.3ohm you'll be at 50-80W

Thanks for that - had another coil (last in a pack of 5) go lastnight, so i think im going to purchase this tank. Previously having good experience with Aspire products it seems a sensible option!

Thanks again!

Absolutely Fizz, I'm certain they come supplied with Aspire 0.5ohm coils from the off, so if that works for you then you're jamming! It's a quality tank sir - it's high end gear from the UK for China money. It's my go to recommended tank nowadays as you can fit a coil that suits how you vape.

Stevo's vape travails took me to America this week *USA USA USA* in the form of a highly polished Goon OG from 528 Customs *WOO - USA*

It's alright at best IMO, not a patch on a Kennedy for flavour. Still a very capable dripper, beautifully made (this one had the topcap polished to a mirror finish over 10 grades of polishing, she is tool-esque.)

8.10 for me so far

Any recommendations on a mod - currently have an smok alien so looking for similar performance but no larger - ideally something smaller

What's your budget? Have a look at Minikin for well made mods but not the cheapest

Tank was delivered on sat morning, So far so good! Been used a decent amount with non of the issues i experience with the Baby beast. Thanks for the recommendation!

Wouldn't say its a drawback, probably because i was use to the baby beast, but the drip tip on the Trillium is on the small side, not I.D, but in length...if that makes sense. But getting used to it, and not a show stopper!

Looking forward to trying the different types of coils for it!

Dont really have a set budget so dont mind paying for a good product...

Ive never vaped about 60 W - normally on the baby beast i was around the 35w mark...

Just want somthing not too big but dont have to charge every day either..
