Those shoe trees appear to be doing nothing.I agree with the comment about the shoetrees - they look 2 sizes too small! What size trees/shoes do you have?
Here is my cat demonstrating how a tree should fit in the shoe
11 G-fit and the tree is XL, the largest they do.
TBH, I prefer the trees bought from ebay which provide a more snug fit, but this one will do for my Cheaney black oxfords - seems to fit them better.
Hoping the replacements will be of an acceptable standard. CTS shirts have been great so a little disappointed but will give them a chance. We all mess up from time to time.

At the risk of being gloomy, if they'll send out shoes looking like that I think there is a high probability you won't be happy with the replacement pair.TBH, I prefer the trees bought from ebay which provide a more snug fit, but this one will do for my Cheaney black oxfords - seems to fit them better.

My Loake Hilton shoes came today, quite happy with the design in the flesh. Shinier than I thought too.
They're just too big for my feet though, despite being an F width my feet just wobble round inside. Do I need to look at going down a width to an E I guess? (I've never encountered widths before so have no idea what I am, my feet are narrow for 11's I've been told though). I suspect buying online isn't helping my cause here.
Edit - Spoke to Pediwear and had a good 20 minute chat. Superb service, talked me through the lasts and general fit then also took the time to explain shoe care advice to a newbie like me (Which pretty much echo'd the superb advice given above).

May I suggest you pop into a decent shoe shop and have your feet measured - BOTH of them? Mine are two slightly different sizes, with the left being pretty much a true 12 and the right being just over a 11.5. Normally G fitting but 12F often works well and 11.5 G can be pretty comfy depending on style, last and material! They're just too big for my feet though, despite being an F width my feet just wobble round inside. So - to confuse matters further, I actually have two sizes of shoe trees also! Just need to remember which size goes in which shoes - to be fair not that hard as there is normally a pair of shoe trees lying there looking lonely
A Church's shoe shop generally does a pretty good job of measuring but gets expensive when they make an effort and start asking you to try on various styles and pairs to check for comfort! It never ends well.....
BTW, the Church's store in Bicester gives great service generally when not busy and not quite as painful as the main stores! (The lovely 'Spanish ish' manageress is brilliant - at least I think she is management)

Unrelated I've been looking at shoes this evening and will likely be getting some barkers. Narrowed it down to a choice of 8 pairs! I'm all up for getting a few and sending them back but that's £2k of shoes...
Which ones are you considering? If you want to order some to try on, I would go for a range of last shapes in your size.

My Barker Ewan arrived!
I really like these and the Rosewood colour is a lovely warm brown. I've already treated them to some Saphir products to get a nice shine on them.
Strangely, they are a little more roomy than my other Barkers from the same last shape.

I much prefer a sleeker slimmer design. Just don't like wide bulky shoes at all - not stylish.

^^ Careful - only if you have sleek slim design stylish feet.
If you have 'normal' or wide feet you'll get corns and callouses in later life - which is not something I desire.
Thankfully I do have Narrow feet for my sleek slim design stylish feet so my lovely feet shall be preserved! If you have 'normal' or wide feet you'll get corns and callouses in later life - which is not something I desire.

I never get comments like this. I much prefer a sleeker slimmer design. Just don't like wide bulky shoes at all - not stylish.
Style is down to how the individual pulls it off.
I always think of slimmer shoes with used car sales men working out of a trailer.
Sure some people pull it off, more more often than not most get it completely wrong.
