Bit of a shame considering they'd go with precisely nothing I wear, but such is life. I actually like their aesthetic despite it going against basically everything I wear.
Yea I think they're very sensitive to the rest of the outfit. Would be very easy to look a bit partridge ( not saying that's your general look)

Supra, Adidas originals etc

JD sports and size seem to have a decent choice available.

Thanks. Was looking for something less "trainery" and more high end, think Jimmy Choo, but half the price possibly!

A mate of mine loves his high tops and often gets them from Dune.

Same as me - I really fancy some loafers but I dont really have the clobber to match.

I think they go well with trendy (Hipster?) slim fit trousers and the like. There is a fine line between trendy and fabulous

Thanks, never been in a TKMaxx, might have to give it a go. While they're not Church's quality, they're not bad for the money
TK seem to be a bit hit & miss, you may need to visit a few times.
I don't know if this helps, but my eldest son is of the belief the better buys are from TK Maxx located in the more affluent areas (the wealthier parts of society wouldn't be seen in there). He has indeed purchased many designer shoes/sunglasses/fashion items that one maybe wouldn't find in a less wealthy town.
This is true...

I have tried convent garden and its crap and then went to Brixton and the locals don't know what half the stuff is so I get lots of bargains.

So far I have got:

Sebagos for £25
Jeffery West boots for £60
Victorinox carry on bag for £125
Victorinox suit bag for £80

To name a few of the bargains I have picked up.

Both pics very much fail the "will most people laugh at me in 5 years" test.

I don't have a Castrol GTX jacket, so I'm hopefully doing okay on the Partridge scale. biglaugh

If I am not mistaken the first pair are Gucci horsebit loafers, which have been around since 1953 and have been in production throughout that time without raising too many titters.

The provenance of the footwear doesn't stop the guy looking a bit of a pillock. (I am talking about the pictures of the 2 guys rather than individual shoe pics)

In TK Maxx Farnborough yesterday there was a set of "Saville row by Barker" Calf brogues/oxfords in size 13 for £69.99

I would have snapped them up but the only two pairs of decent shoes I have are Calf Barker Brogues, so I really need something different.

When my sister used to live in Leyton I always popped into the TK Maxx there and managed to bag all sorts of bargains but the best were a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans for £30 and a Stone Island trench coat for about £70/£75 which actually had an RRP of £550.

Most of the stores only get one big delivery a week and it's usually the same day, the one in Brixton is a Wednesday so it's worth a visit on the Thursday once all the new stock is out smile
