I thought it was strange watching the Olympics that there's very little variation in the footwear, almost everyone seemed to be wearing the same shoes, I thought, how can that be? Did someone design the perfect shoe that no athlete could be without... The answer was fairly obvious it turns out.

Nike have a single colour pallet for all the shoes, the odd athlete not sponsored by Nike will have different ones but nearly all of them wear these:-

Me too and I need a new pair of boots for walking the dog. They are quite expensive though, given what I'd be using them for.

I need something waterproof that isn't such a faff as wellies and liners.

In fairness, wEllies are the least faff footwear that I know of.

I walk the dog every day, and it's much easier and quicker at 6am to pull a pair of decent wellies on than it is to lace up a decent pair of walking boots.

Especially when the dog is doing his best to wake up the entire house in his excitement to get out the door

Having said that, I also love my Ecco walking boots:
