The G&G samples room was full of temptation by the way;

Some fabulous colours there.

Indeed. I like the idea of green shoes, but am not sure how easy they are to wear.

You got some wear out of those old ones! Does your job involve deliberately dropping bricks on your toes all day?

How big is your collection now g3org3y?

You seem to snap up all the decent Northants shoes as they pop up on TK Maxx. Do you keep them all or send a proportion of them back?

I have been tempted by some of those Barker loafers too. Especially the brown suedes

My wife says too big! laugh (one of the few things)

If I see something worthwhile, I'll order it and see how it is IRL. Sometimes a pair will have obvious flaws, sometimes it'll be (at least to my ignorant eye) perfect. If it's decent I may decide to keep it. Plenty of times I return.

I've had the blue leather penny loafers delivered. Seem good quality - part of the Barker Creative Collection. Came in a proper Barker box complete with shoe bags and a shoe horn. I'm typically an 8.5-9 (depending on style). Unfortunately the 8.5s on these are too big (especially if wanting the option to wear sockless) so I've re-ordered them in 8. I've yet to receive the brown and brown/blue suede loafers. Should be arriving later this week.

Yes, I would probably order down half a size for loafers. You need them to be quite snug to stop your heels slipping around in them.

I'll have another look at the brown ones. They had some brown leather Barker driving shoes recently and all the sizes got snapped up really quickly.

I'll probably invest in some no show socks for the loafers. I wore the red Loake loafers for the first time a few days ago. smile

It is worth keeping an eye on TKMaxx online. They do get a lot of decent stock in (as well as plenty of crap). I usually do a search for 'new in' items every couple of days. You're right, good stuff in common sizes gets sold out quickly.

My receptionists at work are getting bored with all the parcels they are having to sign for. paperbag

Those brown Barker driving shoes I mentioned just randomly popped up again - last one, which happened to be in my size only. I couldn't resist, having missed out last time.

As the listing is now gone, the only picture I can find is a small preview pic from the order reciept;

Not particularly elegant, but I'm tired of scuffing up the backs of my other shoes during long drives for work. Hopefully they arrive before my Inverness trip comming up soon.

Well my back isn`t that good these days & I often end up kneeling & dragging my toes around on the concrete. Eventually water & stuff gets in through the gaps & it`s time for a new pair. £15 for the Goliaths so not really expensive!

I know the ones you are talking about, I remember seeing them listed online when searching.

Congrats on the lucky nab, let us know how you get on. smile

Unloaded on would be a better Partidgeism.
