For the gurus out there, is there such a thing as a shoe tree for a boot?
Yes just google boot tree and get a cedar one that’s the right shape for the boot such as

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Red-Wing-Cedar-Boot-Trees...
Those boot trees are ideal, but pricey.

I only use shoe trees in my boots and they work out fine - Especially if the leather is quite stiff and generally holds it's shape like on my Tricker's boots. I realy like the shoe trees from Charles Tyrwhitt and tend to get some when there is a CT voucher doing the rounds. Typically £15 or £20 a pair.

Cheaney Scott rub off bronze
I REALLY like some of the recent boots from Cheaney. I have my eye on the Jarrow boot but cant decide on the English tan vs Chicago tan. The Chromexcel leather is packed with oils/waxes that shift around where the boot flexes and folds revealing a deep patina. This shows an (extreme) example:

I have my eye on a pair of Cheaney boots too for the wet 3 mile round trip to the pub.

I think commando soles are more comfortable than Dainite, so I'll probably go that route.

i am gathering £425 from the post above. At first glance that price for those boots looked like a joke. Possibly not.

So I think I have just got a bargain.

Picked up a pair of Cheaney’s on the 4436 last (I can only find 2 pairs of shoes on that last and they’re not mine) on an itshide britgrip golfer sole for work for £116 delivered.

These replace my work Loakes which disappointed me this time round as the toe caps folded straight after purchase (I should have sent them back but didn’t) they also now have a cut in the leather on the toe cap, and need a new sole do you think they’ll be too far gone for loake to repair?
Where from?
I would also like to know this.
