Have you ever been in a fight?
Discussion
Well, this got me thinking. I was outside a small shop with my friend. We witnessed some dugged up 18 year old with a one piece track suit getting aggressive towards a much younger boy (Around 15). He was obviously high or something. My friend started smiling at the aggressive man who was acting stupidly to which he said to my friend "What you laughing at you " he then walked towards my friend until he was millimetes away from his face, shouting and asking for a fight. After a minute of this he eventually walked off. Bearing in mind were only 16. I just really wanted to punch this guy in the face, im not an aggressive type but this guy deserved it.
So has anyone here actually been in a fight before?

thought most men had been in a fight!
Depends on what you mean by a fight! Bit of a difference between a scrap in the playground during lunchtime at school, a drink/drug fuelled brawl in a nightclub, a group punch up on the rugby pitch etc.
Oh and ETA: looking forward to some of the macho man stories that will inevitably be posted!

This.I had a lovely one (which didn't end up in a fight despite my best efforts) of following a chap home who had been (in a group of 5 mates) threatening me. But for some reason when he was alone he wasn't so keen to settle matters........

Yes, I'm a bit of a trouble magnet, I just can't walk away. Last one was ealier in the week. Was in TK Maxx and a lad of 7 or 8 walked up and punched my 2yo girl in the face, I told his dad and he laughed. I walked away after a few choice words, later the lad came back over I thought he was going to say sorry but he lashed put but couldn't get at her. Went over to his dad, who now claims he doesn't speak English so had to rough him up a bit. Got the impression he was getting his son to start fights with other kids.
Serves me right for going into TK maxx

been in a lot more than ive won...
I'm running about 50/50 on that, but I have been left in a worse state(a couple of times) than I have ever left someone in. Most of mine have been at work in the pub trade when I was younger and the sole intention was to evict te person I was scrapping with.

it wasn't me. i hated rugby...
I've actively tried to avoid having a proper fight. Not going out to st Swindon nightclubs and bars for the last decade has helped!
The one and only time I've been caught up in anything a mate ended up getting a black eye and the Police gave the offenders a quick trip back to prison (celebrating their early release that night). Another friend, who always talked himself up about fighting etc, sat there and did fk all while the other guy got punched!
I'm still glad I escorted other people away even if it wasn't the most macho thing to do. The other thing that always sits at the back of my mind is that I have a deeply repressed temper. Assuming I got hit and got back up again I could see it ending up with me stamping on someone's head or worse. Nobody is going to think you're 'the man' then either!
