Goddd. Just because you're older you think you know EVERYTHING!
Actually, in serious mode... from the second you answer the phone you should be in interview mode, they won't say hello, how are you "and now we're going to do the interview". So, in the same way as you would for a normal interview, get ready with your reasons why you'd be a great hire for the role, examples of how you have useful experience, and also questions that you want to know answers to about the prospective employer (yes, you want the job, but you don't want to look desperate).Other people will come and give better advice. I've ad the same job for seven years, so I assume my interview technique is iffy (plus there aren't many jobs in my game).
Thank you. My only interviews have been 1 group-based for a Uni course where I was picked to start "So, introduce yourself and tell why do you want to go into Radio?" - "Okay, hi... I'm Tom, and basically, I think I have the face for it."
The other was a one-on-one that the course leader asked me a couple of questions about why I wanted to do the course and I asked him a question about it and that was that.
For my barman/waiting job, it was 'You're a relation of a Director?" "Yes" "Have you done this sort of thing before?" "Yes, 10-months KPing with a few Waiting shifts for good measure." "Excellent, well, that's all fine then."
I just walked into my film jobs and the Electronics Manufacturing job, didn't even send a CV/letter.

No wonder he works in hospitality.

Tonight I am mainly questioning my conscience and moral compass.
If in doubt, do it. In which case, stop questioning - you already have your answer.
It was a great day for me. I finished work early, and had a great driving lesson. Then met mates and lasses for a movie and I am learning with a mate dad and he let me drive everyone home for free.
The roads are dead at this time of night so it was nice and relaxing cruise while dropping people off. Great instructor and said it was very smooth. Right, I still need to book that theory!

This is a good thing. We should all share our good things. The roads are dead at this time of night so it was nice and relaxing cruise while dropping people off. Great instructor and said it was very smooth. Right, I still need to book that theory!
I applied for the job I was told about earlier. Sounds really good. And if I pull it off, the location of the office would be spectacular.

I didn't think learners were permitted to carry passengers.
Unsure. It was a last minute choice by my mate as we were walking to the car. It was me, the instructor, my mate and a lass. I did not mind and the instructor had dual controls at his disposal should he feel the need to assist - which he did not use. Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
